  • Cobb falling off record pace for all purpose yards

After 12 games, Cobb has an even 1900 all-purpose yards:

    132 yards rushing
    675 yards receiving
    242 yards punt returns
    851 yards kickoff returns.

The record is 2,696 yards, set by Darren Sproles last year. Cobb needs 200 yards/game to get it. At one point a few weeks ago I thought he might have a shot at it, as he was somewhat close to the needed average per game, and the Packers were going to him more and more on offense.

If he would run north and south instead of east and west on kick/punt returns his yardage will increase.

I really hope he falls far short. Don't need him fielding any more kickoffs than the rules require! I'd like to see him use the touchback a little more as well.

1 kickoff return per game - 30 yards
4 punt returns per game - 40 yards.
          6 receptions per game - 100 yards
4 rushing carries per game - 30 yards.

          New NFL record!

...and when he doesn't have the ball :bateyelashes:

I am familiar with Cobb's high school and college career and have to admit that he is doing more in the pros than I thought he would.

It's been a long time since the Pack had an elite all-purpose guy. That said, NOBODY called for a fair catch like Antonio Chatman. He's the king.

doesn't seem like they are involving him in the offense as much.

who are you all kidding with this 1 ko return a game, the guy is going to get 4-5 chances at least in most games.

I posted my "list" in response to mraynrand's comment; "I really hope he falls far short. Don't need him fielding any more kickoffs than the rules require! I'd like to see him use the touchback a little more as well." I took the highlighted comment to mean one (with the defense pitching shutouts!) I simply made up all the rest to get to the 200 yards/game he needs so as not to fall "far short" as mraynrand hoped!

Nothing serious about it at all.
