        That he elected to vote for Adrian Peterson over both Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning; as both of these QB's he decided were very close as candidates. AP's season just stood out as really special and especially so, given his recovery from serious knee surgery.

            Peterson pulled the night's big hardware – the AP MVP of the league trophy in the second annual NFL Honors on Saturday night—upstaging fellow front-runner Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning for the honor at Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans. Manning settled for the AP Comeback Player of the Year award.

            It is Peterson's first NFL MVP award. "
