Other than Calvin Johnson going for the single season WR yardage record, the Lions have packed it in for the year.

3rd and 10 for ATL at about the 40 yard line of DET and Matt Ryan has to throw to his check down at the line of scrimage. The DET defensive player was sitting at the first down marker. He takes two steps toward the ATL RB and waits for the RB to deliver the blow and get the first down instead of closing 5 yards short of the first.

Matthew Stafford (15/19 for 183 yards) and and Calvin Johnson, 6 receptions for 117 yards are showing big numbers for the first half. Actually Calvin Johnson looks really good to break Jerry Rice's total yards receiving record tonight needing just ** 65 more yards.

We know that Matthew Stafford will swing it to him in the second half.

** Make that 51 more yards as he's already added 14 more in the second half and there's 6:59 left in the 3rd Qtr. The score is Falcons 21 Lions 13. A one possession game. It's heating up as the LIONS can close fast.

No kidding on going 2000 for the season. He'd be Iron Man to get it done tonight....333 yards receiving. He has 178 yards now with 7:12 remaining in the game.

There it is... THE NEW RECORD ...CALVIN JOHNSON gets a standing ovation from the Detroit fans with a big 26 yard catch and run; and actually Calvin Johnson has set records galore tonight including most games in a season exceeding 100 yards receiving.

Matthew 'PASS' Stafford

Another 56 pass's tonight (678 on the season) and 443 yards. He's pressing in on Bledsoe's record. He'll pass Drew Bledsoe's pass attempts in a season record (691) next game.

Megatron is at 11 receptions for a whopping 225 yards. 1892 yards for this RECORD season. So he needs 108 yards for 2000 on the season.

I havn't done this much arithmetic (a red indian thought he might eat tomatoes in church) for some time.
