The Bears fired Lovie Smith! Kinda surprising.

Wow. Packers bit the dust and Lovie loses job.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Lovie Smith is fired and Rex Ryan isn't. What a world.
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

I wouldn't mind Lovie Smith or Romeo Crennel being d-coordinator for the Packers if AP eats the Packers alive again next week.

Bretsky! Gruden's people are telling NFL people he may interview for an NFL job!

If the Bears hire him (say he convinces them he will hire Belicheck reincarnated as D coordinator) would you root for the Bears?

Actual speculated destinations include Philly and San Diego. Personally, I think Gruden NFL rumors are like Barry Alvarez's try-annual salary increase drives. All about leverage.

Lovie getting fired is unreal to me. The GM is the guy who, in all his Shermanesque glory, kept addressing last year's problems and mortgaged the future to win now. I didn't think Lovie would go without the GM getting tossed.

Bears replaced GM last year, this really wasnt much of a surprise.

I think Lovie is on the hook for being completely incapable of hiring competent offensive staff. Many candidates might be fearful of the Bears commitment to their defense in player acquisition and cap space, but somehow other teams make it work (Giants, Steelers[normally]).

The GM out for the Jets and was a good move. That guy really screwed that team up. Rex will be on a Lovie like leash next season. No playoffs, no more job. Now let's go have a gd snack.

Wha? Are you saying Tice was incompetent!?!?

Lovie didn't hire Gabe Carimi blow draft picks on Jay Cutler, or let their TE get away - and then have nothing at WR for Jay to throw to, and nothing in front of him to pass protect. Lovie was responsible for purchasing the exercise bike, however...

Update, but not a shock: The Bills have fired Chan Gailey. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-400_162-...h-chan-gailey/

...Coach and GM both out in Cleveland, too. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/inde...at_shu_61.html
Once Mike Holmgren left as team president, I think their fates were sealed. They lost a lot of close games this year and have some young talent--I think this would be a great situation to go into as a new coach or as a new GM.

An offensive minded coach in Cleveland would be smart to keep Walking Dead star Dick Jauron as D-coordinator.

Romeo Crennel is out after going 2-14 in Kansas City, but GM Scott Pioli is "under review". Are they looking for "indisputable video evidence"? http://www.kansascity.com/2012/12/31...to-remain.html
