Naw, sometimes its best to stop simply because it is boring the hell out of everyone else that comes here. You yourself said it, "agree to disagree" and move on to something else.

Sometimes it is not worth debating an individual who refuses to progress in any discussion, but simply dodges and darts all over the place without coherency. That is not debating or discussing, it is simply an attempt at aggravation.

Sometimes it is not worth debating an individual because, for whatever reason, you and the person never seem to understand each other. Comments are repeatedly misinterpreted, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Those debates never get anywhere, so why bother?

I'm all over the map on this one: Jennings is awesome, probably too expensive, he will probably end up with Minnesota when he leaves and we will hate it, but the Packers don't spend their cash on parts they can replace.
Manning also had to contend without a championship caliber defense for most of his years because of the money spent on offense. The cost? Two Super Bowl appearances and one loss in a Hall of Fame career.

I prefer keeping the team more balanced. We'll see if its more successful.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Tag: $10.357 million in cap space, guaranteed money the moment he puts pen to paper. Number is anticipated but was published by NFL.com. Was $9 mil last year I believe.

Pack has approx $7 in space to push into next year. 2013 Cap number anticipated to be $121 million. They also need to sign Raji, Matthews and Rodgers to long term deals plus the usual assortment of draftees, RFAs and other, slightly less critical UFAs. The Packers have 41 players under contract as of now for $78,052,947 for 2013/14.

Do the math, show your work and lets see what you can do. I bet you are a Mike Sherman type of cap guy, always pushing obligations into the future, for after you leave the franchise.

Well, I had an entire chart of the Packers salary structure ready to go before I realized that my list was salary only. So for cap space, you will need to do your own sourcing.

But I can tell you that these guys have all the numbers, though for cap numbers you have to look at individual player pages. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/yearly/

Bob McGinn calculated that the top 20 players next year will cost about $98.36 million. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packe...170795046.html

                                Happy spreadsheeting!
