All the gas stations were closed at 11:40 coming back from the game on Saturday night. Saturday night of a Packer game and you're not open to catch the post-game traffic!Originally posted by Iron Mike View PostNext time you're there, stop at Bluemke's for a t-shirt!!
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

They must have had game tickets.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostAll the gas stations were closed at 11:40 coming back from the game on Saturday night. Saturday night of a Packer game and you're not open to catch the post-game traffic!I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd

Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up

Very cool photo! My hubby said that Sure Way in your other post was not far from his grandparent's house. That is the Woolworth's he worked at. I have a water color painting of the front of Kaap's restaurant hanging on my living room wall down here. I used to eat there often as a kid with my family. Downtown doesn't look anything like that today.Originally posted by Iron Mike View Post

My Mom worked at the Bellin Building for a while, and if I took the bus Downtown on her lunch break, I'd get taken to Kaap's for lunch and a Mickey Mouse sundae.

OMG, what a trip down memory lane! Thanks! When my family would go there we'd sing songs and the waitresses - who were all older than God - got a kick out of us. I don't know if the other patrons did tho!Originally posted by Iron Mike View Post

I gotta show this pic to my hubby later on! BTW, if you go to W. De Pere and check out that pizza place called Gallagher's you'll find a couple of those booths and other paraphenalia from Kaap's in there! Unfortunately if memory serves they painted the booths a light green.

i mentioned this before from when i made my first trip to Green Bay but this photo looks exactly like the downtown from the city i grew up in...pueblo, colorado. this pic is from the early-mid sixties and i was 10-12 years old then. pueblo even has the same ethnic groups as Green Bay. it was a trip back in time when i went there. woolworths on the corner and everything. lolOriginally posted by Iron Mike View Post

Never mind. My mom's best friend lived in New Holstein which is the next town over from the big city of Kiel. The thought did inspire me to get on Google maps and look at a street view of the old house. How they raised nine daughters there (one bathroom and the upstairs always under construction), I will never know.Originally posted by red View Posti'm 2 hours north of GB"Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings

My first residence as a married guy was a little house we rented in Kiel. I rented it from the family that owned the corner bowling alley.Originally posted by MJZiggy View PostNever mind.
