  • Stuff We Learned During Press Conference Tuesday

Worthy had knee surgery and is expected to miss most of the offseason.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Interesting note from James Campen. The two snaps Josh Sitton missed cuz of a shoe snafu were the only offensive snaps he's missed this year

Capers defended adjustments that #Packers did make. Said GB rushed 4, then spied, then started pressuring. Nothing worked vs. Kaepernick.

Also noted on JSO that they went to Cover 2 first and 49ers ran Davis past Hawk or big TE completion. But faulted safety for not getting over the top fast enough, not Hawk.

When switched to Cover 3 to put more eyes on CK, 49ers hit a 7 route (route to outside) for 17 yard gain and first down.

Sounds like Packers were reactive to CK's scrambling and read-option success and 49ers had a play for each adjustment.

Dom Capers said after being burned by Kaepernick's scrambles, he switched to zone coverage and the 49ers burned the #Packers with the pass.

That has been a problem for a while.

Dom Capers said Kaepernick's scrambling, not the read-option is what killed the #Packers in the playoff loss. http://t.co/M3u2rArT

Joe Whitt had high praise for #Packers Sam Shields. Said year similar to Williams' in 2010 and called him the team's best tackling CB.

Best news I've heard so far. They guy shies away from contact. Either he's decided he doesn't want to pay the price to make a play, or his injury from 2011 is a permanent issue. If it's the former, perhaps some competition will change his attitude.

#Packers bigger problem, per Capers. RT @ChrisBurke_SI MT @VicTafur: Nolan more worried about Kaepernick’s scrambling than read-option.

I wonder if the right way of dealing with that could be found in the approaches against Vick in the 2010 Wildcard game and Roethlis Burger in the SB, where lane integrity was the priority, not sacking the QB.
