  • Greatest Packer playoff play

I say it was Starr's qb sneak to win 3-in-a-row back in '67. Gutsy because if he didn't make it the game's over plus it culminated the "drive" of a lifetime for a 3rd title.
Second place would go to Desmond Howard's kickoff return for a td vs NE. Momentum was on NE's side at the time and his return kicked the Patriots in the balls for the knock out punch.
Best non-Packer play would be the Immaculate Reception, Bradshaw to Harris off of Tatum pass for the TD late in the Oak-Pitt playoff game in the 70's. The rules at that time didn't allow the ball to be deflected from one offensive player to another. I truly believe Tatum was the player who shot the ball back to Harris and the play was called correctly by the ref's at that time. No instant replay also.

I don't think it is even close, but I am a Homer. First playoff win in like forever.

There was one idol I had as a kid, Sterling Sharpe. I was a little older when Favre came in, just old enough to not idolize a player (I think I was 11)

But Sharpe, as a 7 year old kid, he was a super-hero to me. Every time I played football, I pretended I was Sterlinig Sharpe. My neighbor was Joe Montana. We were a dynamic duo. I was young for my grade, and never had the elite size/athleticism, but as a little kid, the older kids liked to play with me. I played with heart and made plays. I channelled my inner Sharpe. Some of the best memories I have were playing football and being Sterling Sharpe on the field.

Even still, I feel like a little kid when I watch sharpe play. I want to go out and catch touchdowns

We should get a Packerrat football game organized We'll go out and blow our knees and break ribs

We can all train, like the "try to hard fan guy in the commercials" then show up and plod around with the speed of Josh Sitton, the agility of William Perry and the toughness of Mason Crosby. It will be epic.

Ice bowl - won a championship, so the INT of Dandy Don the previous year was huge; secured a win. Matthews and Pickett teaming up to force the Fumble a couple years back helped win a title, but my favorite is:

The Pick six by Raji - secured a win for the Packers in what essentially was the only NFL championship between the Packers and Bears ever. Beating your greatest rival in your only championship game meeting? What could be better than that?

I'll never forget Wayne Simmons' hit on Adam Walker in the 1996 GB vs. SF game.

How about that 3rd down reception by Jennings in SB 45?

I still don't know how that ball got in there and how he made the catch. Amazing.

Jeez, these are all really good. Impossible to pick one. I also loved Favre's TD to Bad Moon in the SB. You never really knew which Favre would show up for a big playoff game (see repeated previous meltdowns v. Dallas). But after that throw, I was feeling pretty good about the Pack's chances.

Thanks, Joe. And of course, from that same game, there was this ("It is time!"):

And, due in large part to the backstory, this catch by Ol' Max is awesome on so many levels (start at :52, but why not watch the whole thing?):

Sorry to be a thread hog, but I think I liked this Jennings catch in the SB even more -- great throw, great catch and took a vicious lick:

My favorite memory was dismantling the Falcons in Atlanta in the 2010-2011 playoffs.
