So not to get off topic, but going back to the PUP/IR probability of Worthy, when a player is IR'ed in the off season, if you hop eto get him back half way through the season does he have to be designated to return during the off season? I am still not clear on that new rule.

If he misses all of camp, he is eligible for PUP and the IR-Designated to Return is not necessary. If he can't go after PUP's six weeks and 3 weeks exemption, then something else must be done unless they keep him on the active roster. I am not sure if you can IR-DTR someone after PUP. Nor am I certain if IR-DTR has a minimum number of weeks that would make it useless in a 16 game schedule after PUP+3 week exemption.Originally posted by Upnorth View PostSo not to get off topic, but going back to the PUP/IR probability of Worthy, when a player is IR'ed in the off season, if you hop eto get him back half way through the season does he have to be designated to return during the off season? A player put on IR-DTR must remain there for at least 6 weeks.Originally posted by pbmax View PostIf he misses all of camp, he is eligible for PUP and the IR-Designated to Return is not necessary. So 6 +3 + 6 is Week 15 and you get two regular season games out of him. Sounds like its PUP or nothing in 2013.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostA player put on IR-DTR must remain there for at least 6 weeks.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. I think as enacted for this year, IR-DTR required that the player was on the active roster in Week 1. I'm not positive about that.Originally posted by pbmax View PostIf he misses all of camp, he is eligible for PUP and the IR-Designated to Return is not necessary. One watch had him at 4.46, another at 4.53. Wisconsin's indoor facility is supposed to be a notch faster than Indy though.Originally posted by packrulz View PostBall and others had a good pro day in Wisconsin, TT was there: http://blogs.nfl.com/2013/03/06/mont...nsins-pro-day/Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. If he ends up with the Packers, think of all the riffs on the "Let's Make a Deal" line.Originally posted by pbmax View PostOne watch had him at 4.46, another at 4.53. Possibly. I was getting this off the radio. I thought they said his two runs in the 40 were even, but your take would make more sense.Originally posted by Bretsky View PostI those were his two forty runs...........one at 4.46 and the other was at 4.53Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs.
