I know it sucks to sit on the sideline during FA but we are underpaying AROD and CMIII about $20M per year if not more.Originally posted by red View Postyay, packers save more money that they won't useBut Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Right. They're probably just going to let Rodgers, Matthews and Raji enter free agency when their contracts expire. TT isn't planning on offering them contract extensions or anything.Originally posted by red View Postyay, packers save more money that they won't useI can't run no more

We're not sure whether the news was delivered via fax machine or something more of the age we live in, but Packers linebacker A.J.
A.J. Hawk agrees to restructure contract.
Posted by Josh Alper on March 15, 2013, 5:28 PM EDT
" The numbers aren’t available yet, but PFT has confirmed that Hawk has agreed to redo the final three years of his deal. It was an expected move as Hawk stood to count $7.05 million against the salary cap for the 2013 season, a number that was getting in the way of Green Bay making other moves.
Including roster bonuses, Hawk was scheduled to make $5.2 million in 2013, $5.7 million in 2014 and $6.2 million in 2015 before the restructure. " Fr. LINK** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.

yeah yeah, giving a-rod a new deal, if it does happen this season, won't make our cap number go up that much (maybe 5 million), hell his number might even go downOriginally posted by Joemailman View PostRight. raji has a cap number of 6.6 million next season. he's a 3-4 lineman. he's cap number probably won't go up that much, if any this year
both could be frontloaded like a-raods first contract, where he had a first year salary of 13 million, or they could do what every other team does and give them the vet minimum for the first couple of years with a big signing bonus
clay has a cap number of almost 5 million already, again his cap number might go up a bit with a new deal, but not a lot
its crazy to think we're cap strapped with almost 20 million available because we have to resign 3 guys. hell we could have 30 million in free cap space after signing those 3 if the deals are done like everyone else
every single team out there has guys they need to sign, yet they find room to sign help

Here's the numbers I have on the mentioned players CAP hits for 2013:
Aaron Rodgers ... $9,750,000
BJ Raji ... $6,595,000
Clay Matthews ... $4,910,000
Before restructuring today AJ Hawk ... $7,050,000
It seems reasonable that Jermichael Finley, like it or not, will have to restructure of face the consequences. His CAP hit ... a ridiculosly high $8,750,000 !!!
and .... Just peaking at it a wee bit more.
Tramon Williams ... $8,500,000 !!!
Jarrett Bush ... $1,783,333
If you really look at it Ted Thompson can claw back more CAP space. He simply has to get that done.

and looking at those numbers woody
if hawk, finley and tramon don't step up there games this next year (if they're still on the team)
we could be clearing 20 million or more next offseason just like we did this offseason by drive and woodson leaving
you can always gain more cap room
so get some fucking players that fill some of our many holes
