That's a funny feeling when an error in the Thread Title 'may draw interest', with a totally different intention.

    It's this...Yea ! Ohh No!! ..... How do I change that? That's not obvious.

I was encouraged. I thought Ted had 'gotten' really busy.

    pb / Patler / anyone? :

What's the number of participants allowed .... as TC opens? I'm looking for that without success.

The number '93' is sticking in my head.

    I see interesting additions:

A Safety, Ben Erickson, S/WR/ST, Illinois St. ... A developing FS. Adds ST talent and versatility having been a solid WR early in his College career. Wisconsin Gatorade POY in 2008 as a WR/KR specialist;leading the state (1,323 Yards) and TDs (19). That's what we need along with size/strength/ toughness.....athleticism.

    Measureables: 6-0½, 197, 4.44/4.51; Vertical of 36½; broad of 10-2 and 16 Reps. OK !

    Center Patrick Lewis;Texas A&M ... 6-1, 311; 25 Reps. Campen promised him that he'll get a real shot/look (I'm assuming) fighting for a roster berth.

To me it's this: " Called it "heartbreaking" to say no to the Dolphins because offensive coordinator Mike Sherman and offensive line coach Jim Turner mentored him for three seasons at Texas A&M."

Where does a young hopeful Pro football player invest his start? That has to be a huge/serious decision. That's where a solid agent comes in.

An OLB Andy Molumba, OLB, E. Michigan From Ca Na Da... Cool ... Montreal, Canada. The Montreal, Alouettes will more than likely tag this fella, in the CFL College Draft.

That GUY will be CRAZY ! Hopefully Crazy Good.

More heat on Harris,Green and Starks !

    RB Angelo Pease; Kansas State ... Decent Measureables ... 5-10, 215, 4.50. Vertical of 32, broad of 9-5 ; 25 Reps = V. STRONG !

    " I got way more potential than I showed. This offense didn't suit me at all. I'm a returner and I'm an athlete. I'm 215, I've got speed, I'm a receiving back and I'm a great blocker as well. I'm excited. I can't wait." ..." That's 'the Stuff' Angelo....woodbuck27

NT Gilbert Pena; Mississippi Overaged !! Measurables: 6-2½, 330, 5.48. Vertical jump of 24, broad jump of 8-0. Arms were 32 ¾, hands were 9½. How STRONG is he? woodbuck27

NFC scout: "Part-time starter. Big, strong plugger. Plays hard. Plays on his feet. Lacks top range. Plays with pretty good effort. Can get off blocks. Pretty good hands. He just doesn't have that get-off. He's kind of a space-eater, hold-the-point guy. Not a penetrator. Good free agent. Not draftable. He played well in the Raycom game."

Prove ** this Guy WRONG Gilbert ! woodbuck27

** AFC scout: "Big guy. Gonna be a nose. Not really a great player. He's a free-agent body that will get in there and bang. I don't expect him to make the team. Great kid. He may make the practice squad. They really liked him there (at Mississippi). Not really a very good player."

    GREAT ! A TE Jake Stoneburner; Ohio State From Dublin, Ohio. Good karma there (-;

    Dear Lord!

Is this fella a GREEN BAY PACKER !??

" Had his scholarship revoked in June by coach Urban Meyer after being arrested for urinating on a public building and fleeing police."

    Comment woodbuck27:

Awful 'just' awful ....Good GOD give me a break. Yea right... no man should ever do/act like that. Any man who hasn't is a man that's living in his own vacuum. The Police must have been having a quiet 'silly clown' night. Arrest and Report...What a couple of Asshats. Sure Boys... do all you can to ruin a young man's life. Forgive 'my Irish', but give me a break.

" We were in contact with Green Bay from the middle of the sixth round on. I had some clubs call, but I had a pretty good idea where I wanted to go, and I told my agent that. . . . "

That's the stuff Jake ! Piss all over Jermichael Finley. woodbuck27

    Measurables: 6-3½, 250, !!? ... 4.61. Vertical 34½, broad 9-8 and 18 Reps. Arms were 32 1/4, hands were 9 3/8. Wonderlic of 29. Big Brain compensates for pissing alot.

    Another WR...Myles White; Louisiana Tech

Played opposite one of my possible draft Fav's ... WR Quinton Patton in 2011-12.

"I wanted to go to Green Bay from Day 1.... I talked to the coaching staff....spots are open. . . . I feel I'm a playmaker. *** I have the speed (4.46) to stretch the field. I've always been the deep-threat guy. My hands are pretty good and I'm not scared to take (hits)."

*** NFC scout: "Really a small, slight guy. Ran fast but doesn't play to his time. Inconsistent tracking the ball and really lacks strength. But, he does have some speed. Questionable character."

    Comment woodbuck:

All in all. Some decent UFA's to take interest in. Good Luck boys.

      She's got a long torso. Overall...decent measureables ! I suspect... a tad inexperienced.

What about her strength/stamina? Does she possess any speed?

That safety reads like Aaron Rouse. Straight line speed and trouble in space.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Except he's not 6'3"/6'4", so he probably has better agility--which was the big problem with Rouse.

Mulumba is 6-3, 260. He’s played both as a down lineman and standing up. He's Canadian but doesn't seem crazy. He's expected to be taken in the CFL draft. His workout numbers are good enough to succeed but I can't find proof that he ever got a sack in college so he's probably awful.

LOL decided to take a look in this thread and this cracked me up. nice little highlight vid too.

I live in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area, so you hear a lot about guys from the 3 local universities (Duke, UNC and NC State) prior to the draft. I was expecting to see that Conner Vernon had been picked up after the draft and was surprised to see that he had not. He was the most likely guy from Duke (not a great football program, but occasionally produces an NFL-level talent). If you click on the link for his name above and read his profile, it says something interesting:

"Vernon finished his career as the ACC's all-time leader in pass receptions and receiving yardage."

He was a very good route runner at Duke, so I figured someone might take a chance on him as a slot receiver-type. He was a punt returner, so that would add some value. I know comparisons are difficult, especially when one guy has maximized his talent from where he started. Wes Welker was an undrafted guy out of Texas Tech in 2004 who made it through camp, but was cut after the first game of the season to make room for another roster move that San Diego made. Marty Schottenheimer said it was a regrettable move (what else could he say after Welker became what he is now). Then he went to Miami and worked his way up and then was productive enough to get traded by Miami to NE for a 2nd and a 7th round choice. I know that's unusual.

Vernon's measurables are similar to Welker's coming out of college (see Vernon's link above and Welker's below). I know the ACC is not the greatest football conference, but this guy distinguished himself while playing for average to mostly poor teams. I'm not predicting he will become the next Wes Welker, because sometimes it's just talent meets opportunity, but it would be cool for the Packers to take a look at Vernon and see if he fits their system.

I checked on him again, and it looks like the Raiders picked him up. Good for him. I think he can make their team, so good move for him. He seems like a beat you with smarts and preparation guy and over-achieve his physical tools.

The Raiders signed former Duke WR Conner Vernon to a deal as an undrafted free agent. Does Vernon have what it takes to make the team?

That reads pretty good for Conner Vernon. It looks to me as if that was a solid fit for him to get into the NFL.

** The site pegs him as the most noteable UFA WR signed by Oakland.

** The all-time ACC leader in receptions and receiving yards. He had 20 touchdowns as a four-year starter at Duke, with 273 receptions for 3,630 yards including 85 catches for 1074 yards and 8 touchdowns as a senior helping him to earn All ACC second team three consecutive seasons. FR. LINK

The man is consistent 'a four year starter' and recognized within the league as a second team ALL STAR 3X. That's big for him !

The above is solid. It has to be so rough for some of these lads waiting and hopeing to be drafted; and every round slips by and it's >>>no. That's a drag, if you've worked hard and gave it alot as this fella sure demonstrates by his resume to have done.

** When your mentioned in the same sentence as Wes Welker. That's complementry for him. That has to feel good.

We'll keep an eye on him but Oakland sure looks like a great landing spot for an NFL tryout for Conner Vernon.

Yeah, don't be surprised if he can pick up the offense quickly and figure out a way to get on the field and be their slot guy, possibly punt returner. Tape don't lie. Did you see some of those catches in traffic from the embedded YouTube video? The guy has some focus and would seem enough athleticism.

To me he looks like ... a Wes Welker clone.

If he doesn't catch on with the Raiders.... Canuck CFL fans will enjoy watching him. I'm going to be looking to see if he's drafted by a CFL team tomorrow. The CFL does it's College DRAFT on Monday.

The Winnepeg Blue Bombers now own his CFL Rights. Their salavating to get him.

Presently Our Own ...Andy Mulumba ....is the second pick of today's CFL Draft. This man certainly desires to be a Green bay Packer but so does ever single on of the new draft class and the group of UFA'a I hope.

If or when he's cut by the Green Bay Packers. CFL fans and especially those in Winnepeg. Will enjoy seeing Andy Mulumba defend on the Defensive Line as a Blue Bomber.
