Good article on Brandt here http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/...mazing-memory/
Brandt worked for the Cowboys from their birth in 1960 until Jerry Jones bought the team in 1989

1978 round 1 is interesting, it has Pro Bowl to HOF quality players (Campbell, Wes Chandler, Lofton, Art Still, Jefferson, Ozzie Newsome, CMII) interspersed with no names, and then there is St Louis drafting a punter at D1-15 when Newsome is still available! Maybe punters were a more valuable commodity in the days before the NFL liberalized the passing rules.

And the Browns picked one up in round 2! Explains a lot about those franchises, doesn't it?

"The rumor is Dallas 'might' be willing to trade backup QB and Punter Danny White in exchange for the number 1 pick in the draft."

Yeah, the Brownies hit two home runs (CMII and Newsome) followed by a towering pop up (punter in round 2). They could have had Al Baker instead, who was taken one pick after their punter.

Awesome find! I love the cloth-lines and face-mask grabs.

Oh, and Phyllis George was a nice old lady in 1977.

Now she's so damn cute in that turtleneck sweater I can't stand it.

                What the hell happened?
I know, right. That girl is sexy.

Given my age at the time, this is my memory of Phyllis George

I was most surprised by the face masks. I checked the rules, and it's been a penalty on any player since '62! The other hits they showcased legal at the time (I think).
