  • Edgar Bennett has high praise for Boykin

Sounds like Boykin is taking another step toward reaching his potential. I don't think there are any big surprises in the style of play, it's pretty much the same, but it seems like Bennett thinks he's raised his level of play.

He looks like a lock to be our NO. 4 WR and 'of course', that's depended upon availability.

Boykin is definitely Bennett's type of player. Bennett is an attention to detail guy and Boykin does all the small things extremely well, you'd have to be the VA tech all-time leader in catches and yardage with 4.6 speed.

Interestingly with the loss of Greg Jennings, we're left with Nelson, Jones and Boykin to play most of the snaps on the perimeter. All three of those guys, especially Boykin are big physical blockers at the position. Lacy isn't going to have many excuses, he's walking into a good situation.

I wonder if that's not Bennett using the media to make a pitch for a guy he really likes, who is hurt now and possibly going to be out for a while. He doesn't want MM to cut Boykin, which MM might be tempted to do, given the fact Boykin is an undrafted guy who is hurt, so he's pitching how great Boykin is, as a message to MM.

I think Fritz is stepping up his posting, ready to compete with the big boys in the forum when he finally gets the virus cleaned out of his Gateway 486. I know they say he is "football challenged" but does all the little things right in the forum, just not right away. Talk of his being sent to the Romper Room or traded outright for one of McGinn's scouts is really premature.

Give the guy another five or six years and i think we'll have something special.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Yea because we all know that TT and MM make their roster decisions by what the media thinks.

I know you were joking but I'm glad to here my boy Boykin getting some praise, dude's hands make the football look like a little league ball.

Is that bad photoshop, Botox or is Bob 78 years old?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
