Sounds like Manning is more of an athlete than anything. I'll spirit-channel rbaloha and point out that in last year's draft review McGinn commented that he was involved in a lot of turnovers (INT's, FF's) so he has playmaker potential. The question was whether he could clean up some habits and learn to play inside after playing outside in a 4-3.
I haven't seen him play other than a handful of ST snaps, but I'm hoping a year's experience gives him a chance to get on the field and push for playing time.
As for Barrington, I think he's a ST player to start and from there who knows. I know Greg Cosell from those Yahoo blog podcasts liked him, and his workout numbers are good. I don't have high hopes for R7 picks, but Jones is starting and LBs are often found in low rounds so anything could happen with this kid -- I hope he pans out.
Is he a nascent-stage Bishop?
