  • Too Much Time, Too Much Wine

If David Bakhtiari & Don Barclay wind up our starting tackles...... both our starting tackles would have the same initials.
In the history of the NFL - has a team's starting tackles EVER had the same initials?
    Just askin......

I did a search , you'd have to go all the way back to when the NFL began as the "American Professional Football Conference." Fritz Undershirt and Fran Ueker were bookend tackles for the Duluth Eskimos.

There was my brother Darrell and my other brother Darrell.
      I can't run no more
      With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
      Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
      A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

I have read that three thousand cows are needed to supply the NFL with enough leather to make a season's worth of footballs. Not clear if that was before or after the most recent expansion.

There's not as much leather on a cow as you might think. For instance, it can take a whole steer to properly equip a guy for a night on the town.

Who was the first player with the initials D.H. to appear as a designated hitter in a MLB game?

[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

There was something familiar about that leather guy, I knew I've seen him before.
