Did anyone in the GDT notice that Crosby's 2nd FG would have been wide left had the SL Ram not blocked it back into the middle of the goal?
I swear it's true.[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Come on. He's ripped. Well, sorta.Originally posted by Harlan Huckleby View PostI think Lacy looked fat

Backup quarterbacks look better for Packers
Injury list: Tight end Matthew Mulligan was the only player who was injured, according to McCarthy.
He suffered an arm injury in the first quarter and didn't return. McCarthy said he had no information on the degree of injury.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Hyde and Jolly will make this team.
Stoneburner should be kept on the PS, just because of his name and he's caught the only TD so far.
DJ Williams and the Italian kicker shouldn't even make the trip back to GB. I have seen nothing from Williams to warrant him to stay on this team. Bostic should be ahead of him on the depth chart. Tavecchio missed a FG in a dome (don't remember the distance) and couldn't kick into the end zone on a KO...in a DOME!
Barclay should get the start over Newhouse. I don't know why this wasn't done sooner. Barclay is so much better in the run game. Maybe, Newhouse looks good in practice, but he gets lazy on game day.
David Bakhtiari had an up and down game. A false start and allowed a sack, but I think he was playing with second stringers on the line.
Didn't see much pressure from the 1st string D. Blitzes were picked up. Hawk irritates the hell out of me. He always runs right into a blocker when he blitzes. Drives me up a wall! Nick Perry - heard his name once on a run play. Looks good against the run, but hasn't showed much in pass rush.

Jolly usually gets noticed in a positive way every time he plays. Should make it.
Hyde showed enough to make the team.
I think it's time to let go of DJ Williams. Always seems to have problems catching and holding onto the ball. Stoneburner and Bostic showed they are capable.
Tavecchio missed from 40+. The short kick off was only returned 13 yards so I don't know if that short kick was by design or just a weak leg. Still don't trust Crosby though.
Brandon Smith had a horrible game. Let the punt bounce off his side early and then allowed the TD pass in the 4th. He looks like he has a ways to go.
Mulumba Barrington and Francois made plays and should be kept around someway.
Eddie Lacy is going to make me smile A LOT this year.
Tory Holt absolutely sucks as an announcer. Butchered numerous Packers names and made it difficult to watch the game.

Robert Quinn is an outstanding DE. It's not a huge surprise that he got Bakh on one, and I expect that will happen once in a while. As long as he can learn and doesn't go the tank for a quarter at a time, I will be very happy.
Rodgers threw an incredible ball in the game and I feel like he's made his already quick delivery even faster. He was really spinning it last night. If that carries over, like it's a permanent change, and Lacy can be the guy... it's going to be a fun year. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro ~Hunter S.

I decided to watch the offensive plays from the first half and focus on the right side of the line. I skipped church.Originally posted by red View Postthe play that sticks out to me was lacy's one negative rush
he got the ball and was going to some hole on the right side. the whole right side of the line was pushed back about 3 yards, so eddy just hit a huge wall with nowhere to go. newhouse was in that series, but lang and EDS also had their asses handed to them on that play
The run blocking actually wasn't so bad. On the one bad play you mentioned, Lang got walked back, which blew up the play. Newhouse was downfield on a linebacker.
Other than this play, I noticed that Lang was very effective blocking linebackers, he may lack power but he is very nimble. I noticed two impressive run blocks by Barclay. Barclay was beat once on outside pass rush. Nothing remarkable otherwise.
