I'm confused. If he' not trying other moves, is he ignoring coaching or is he just completely incapable of anything else? How is one to know?

My real disappointment for training camp 2013 is having to listen to sports coverage about what Donald Driver said about Greg Jennings who dissed Aaron Rodgers who is disappointed in Ryan Braun. And Charles Woodson said something. I'm just not interested in silly media spats.

I'm with KY...Perry has been a big disappointment. He just does not seem interested in playing LB...and wants to be a DE. He's taking the first train out of town when he has a chance, although he sure as hell isn't going to be anything at DE with his pathetic pass rush moves.

My vote goes for biggest camp disappointment is the freak injury to Bulaga. We will never get to see the truly optimal OL lineup for our team. Now, we get a rookie protecting the NFL's most talented QB. ARodg could well be running helter skelter in the pocket, again. Yeah, Bakh has performed solidly thus far, but come on, its a rookie and this is going to affect us in a significant way this year.

This will be the focus of every D coordinator this season. Deflate the offense by confusing a rookie LT; doesn't seem too challenging.

Datko - After Bulaga's injury, he should have been the obvious replacement. Instead, he's probably a longshot to make the team.

Green - He looks like the same 3.5 YPC guy we saw last year even though he's supposed to be fully recovered from his knee injury.

Coleman - He has the physical talent to be a legit NFL QB, but his progression has been slow.

Manning - I thought he'd make a big jump this year, but he may not make the team.

Jeremy Ross - The only reason he might make the team is that they don't want to risk Cobb on returns.

McMillen...the fact that he's not our starting safety is why I wanted to draft Eric Reed so bad
Ross........he seems like more of a JAG than a player lately
DJ Williams....I thought he could be special; he might be lucky to make the team
Franklyn.....I'm cutting slack here as he's a rook but the way he's performed if he was undrafted at this point he'd get cut
BJ Raji.......Maybe it's just me; I have not noticed him yet
Harrell.......dude will always be below average
Perry........my growing worry........that the dude is just not a fit for this defense

                  Justin Sherrod...........wasted money
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

But has anybody - including CM3 - been lights out in the pass rush department this summer?

If Lacy can bring a legit running attack to this offense that might keep Rodgers from getting killed. I agree, losing Bulaga on Family Night of all things was a killer.

Jolly has. But I get what you're saying. I'd like to think CM3 has been waiting for the regular season to "turn it on." But, I just don't see Mathews wired that way. He strikes me as 110% guy whether it's preseason or the regular season. Pass rush has definitely been lacking from the 1st team defense in these first two preseason games.

Matthews was asked about it in an interview a few days ago. He said he goes into the 1-on-1 drills with an intent to do a specific thing in a specific way so he can see it on film to decide whether and how to use it. As an example, he said he looks at whether to start a certain move immediately, drive up field first, etc. He is more concerned with seeing how things work or how they might be changed than he is with reacting to what the blocker does and trying to "win."

Jolly has a lot of wins but against backup personnel in many cases. He is getting write ups and Twitter mentions even when he was buried at the depth chart. I would wait until they publish the month end numbers to say something definitely on this.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

The players that have been mentioned here frequently fit into my sense of disappointment - Quarless, McMillan (though I'm willing to see how he looks next season), Green, Datko, and so on. Nick Perry I'm taking a wait and see approach on, though I respect KY's opinion.

I am also deeply disappointed this training camp in Drew Barrymore. She has not responded to my repeated invitations. I have used this camp to tell here about the moves I'm working on. I have explained how game days would work - the little (very little) Green Bay Packer apron she'd wear. I have coached her in my emails as to how to respond to me when the Packers are playing badly (oral sex) and when they are playing well (oral sex). This seems to me a simple game plan.

Yes, I'm an aging vet, but I can still perform. Yet Drew does not respond, at all. Biggest disappointment of camp so far.
