  • THE FINLEY WAGON

Who is on board while the Wagon has room ?

Bretsky is drinking the homer juice on Jermichael Finley

If he stays healthy I'm predicting 1,000 yards receiving and nine touchdowns

    Jermichael Finley..........Pro Bowl.......don't be surprised

this is the thread to jump on the Finley Wagon......state your predictions.....and if need be....call me a homer.....revenge is yours )

I predict that I will be on the Finley wagon again, and his head will be so big by week 8 that we don't have a helmet to fit so he is gameday inactive. He will break my heart once again.

Count me in. He's a hell of a talent. He's gone a little ways toward getting on the same page with how AR reads defenses. I also think AR and MM are focusing more on how to make the players around AR better. I have a feeling, and AR or MM don't say this, but I have a feeling they've adapted a little for Finely too.

He's very, very talented. I think he has a great year.

Sure, sure. Where were all of you when posters were trying to dump Finley to sign Wells?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

There was never a dump Finley and sign Wells from me; I've kept a foot on the wagon the whole time just just haven't taken the best seat in the house. Even last year, in he one annual big money FFL autction I participate in....I was elated to get JMike as one of the two TE's. Whie he disappoined, I'm fully ready to take him on again. I was a bit bummed, to be honest, at his breakthrough. Since most of the competitors reside in NY....I was hoping he would be quite in the preseason before leading us to the 6th title in 8 years. Now I might have to pay a lot for him.

The Wagon is getting ready to take off. It's rate Bretsky drinks the homer juice and spikes it like I do with J Mike. Hopefully this thread is not a curse

BTW, talent wise, Finley is a top 3 TE in the NFL. Out with the old and in with the new; the future of TE's rests with Graham, Gronk, and the Finley Wagon !

                        PB,

I've long said I didn't think Fin and AR were going to work well together. AR likes to make a lot adjustments. He needs guys who play that style of ball. Fin is more of a gamer. He worked well with Flynn the game Flynn played with him. Flynn plays more of a sandlot style - my guy beats yours.

I've changed my tune for two reasons.

                        1. It sounds like Fin has committed to the Packers style of offense

                        and

                        2. AR is taking responsibility this year to not just be the perfectionist at what he does, but also to make the guys around him better. I think that means adjusting to each players strengths and weaknesses more. In AR's perfect world, everyone would see the defense exactly how he does and be on the same page. The Packers push that envelope, of making subtle route adjustments. But it's not a perfect world. Fin, while he may be better, plays a little different style and if he had a QB who appreciated his style, he'd have bigger numbers IMO. Regardless, I think AR is going to adjust a little too.

I think Fin has a big year, and I didn't see this coming, but now I do.

Finley fooled me once, his second year in the league when he appeared to turn things around from his rookie year. I praised him effusively for his new attitude and focus. It didn't last.

I am not refusing to get on the Finley Wagon, just delaying my boarding to be sure of its destination and route. Note, however, that I did list Finley as one of the bright spots from training camp:

Im on board.... I think he will have a great year. I just wish he would break a tackle once in a while, He has the size to run over DB's but all they do is lower a shoulder, bumb him and he goes down...
