Ouch. RT @RapSheet: Source: #Eagles OL Danny Watkins, former 1st round pick, is being released.

Coverage has him not suited for ZBS though. But former first round guy.
    ???

Wow, this surprises me. He was highly rated and thought to be a very safe pick with the only downside being his age. A first round pick gone after 2 years, barely saw the field. I assume a few teams will bring him in for a look see, too intriguing not to.

My colleague @TyDunne reporting that #Packers OLB Dezman Moses has been released.

Moses was hurt by toe injury that cost him speed, which was not in abundance in the first place, but he was tough though he seemed undersized when looking at him. New OLBs will have some tough shoes to fill

Palmer has produced as pass rusher but has been knocked around in run game. Mulumba excellent against run but limited as rusher.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

      • None of this is inspiring confidence in me. But I thought Odell Thurman and Turd Ferguson were good draft picks, too.

I'm told #Packers have indeed cut Matthew Mulligan, as @TomSilverstein, @WesHod reported.
Blocking TE that missed a lot of blocks and was hurt.

From my reporting and the hard work of others, I have GB with 19 cuts. Needed 22 to get to 53; or more to create some space for add-ons.

I am missing three. Packer Report has Hughes cut (unconfirmed).

                  • Tyrone Walker would be a good guy for the practice squad.

                    • If McKnight is supposed to fill Harris' cleats, McCarthy clearly had "big letter" plans for a 1-2 punch that he doesn't want to scrap, and he thinks McKnight might be able to. I'm skeptical of this guy; he couldn't really stay healthy (strike one) or beat out the other Jets RB's (strike two) with LT and Shonn Greene gone. My homer bias also makes me skeptical he's better than Alex Green, but I've not really seen Green produce much so I'm likely overvaluing him. I'd think Starks is safe as Lacy's backup hammer role; they must think Franklin can work his way into the 3rd down role and take it over from Kuhn.
McKnight can return kicks, not sure about punts. Has very good speed but not sure about his vision or patience as a RB tho.

                      • Cincy released OT Dennis Roland a solid back-up and sometime starter. He's better than any of our OT's except for Bacteria. They have to be looking at him for our roster.

#Steelers activate TE Heath Miller from PUP list. He's active. Also released RB Jonathan Dwyer, which is somewhat surprising.

Ive always been a huge fan of Seneca Wallace, but I read an article that says he told his coach he was retiring while in the locker room right before the last preseason game. Don't recall where I've read this.

I think so too but the most common mentions are Johnson and White. One guy had Walker with a ticket available for PS.

Maybe they hope McKnight will last long enough for Franklin to grow into the 3rd down role. At least they have Kuhn back there, who, while not inspiring toting the rock, is solid in pro.
