  • OFFICIAL Gameday Packers beat SF 49ers thread

Hell, drastic times call for drastic measures. I don't think I have ever started a gameday thread so here goes.

Wist is going to be shocked by spraypaint marching out 3 man fronts consistently today. The 2-4 will involve Neal and Perry setting the edges with Clay roaming like the headless horseman.

MM will run 3 times on the first 2 drives but get a total of 2 yards and promptly abandon ship. Rodgers will get hit early and often, but being the best in the biz he will still muster enough offense to win given our surprising defensive performance....after all, its about scoring points right pb?

    Packers win 20-14.

PS...in good news, most of the wiseguy money is going with the Pack in the vegas sportsbook. They love +4.5, so the guys who do it for a living think the Pack will be in this til the end.

      I hate late starts!

      Packers 24, Niners 20.

      Defensive struggle more or less.

Packers roll to a 35-10 route. Klusterfuck throws two pics and is ineffective passing and the running just isn't enough.

The 4:30 Eastern time zone start gives me time to get some work done around the house. It's good for me.

          Go Pack!

Burnett Slated to Be a Go

#Packers S Morgan Burnett (hamstring) is expected to play today, though he'll work out pre-game to be sure. He'll help defend Kap & co

Last night I hear my wife on the phone talking to her sister, "No we have no plans for tomorrow we would love to come."
To which I responded, "It's the Packer game. I will be in front of the TV downstairs at 3:15. I don't care where you are."

Needless to say, now most of our in-laws are coming to our house for lunch today. They better be gone by 3pm or I am walking downstairs turning on the TV and I am not saying a word to them until halftime.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

OK, my in-laws are all Packer fans and very nice people so we probably will be watching the game together but man..... on opening Sunday of the NFL season we have to get together. Let's get together next Saturday all day long.

It always feels good to see the Cap'n's obligatory post.

And Thunder, I feel your pain, dude. Even if relatives are Packer fans, when I am watching the Pack I just am not sociable. I cannot make small talk, or get more spinach dip, or pretend I care about your daughter's new tooth, or even make polite commentary on a play. I yell at the TV. I swear like a sailor. It's an intense experience. It's not even safe for me to be out in a public place to watch.

                    Good luck today.

What else do we need here to start the season off right?

                          1. Madtown coming on to insult and salute someone, could be same person.

                          2. 007 must chime in with update on son.

                          3. red must report on quantity and quality of beer being drunk.

                          4. Patler must remind us he will not watch the game live but DVR it to watch in an efficient 1.5 hours without commercials and the chucklefest halftime show. He probably should have brunch somewhere nice and work in the garden.

                          5. Bretsky with a post referencing both church AND another lovely lady joining him for leisure.

                          6. Harv telling everyone not to panic and keep a towel on hand.

Then we'll be good to go.

P.S. We obviously have the obligatory post well in hand.

I will not watch the game, but will listen on the radio as I do other things today, probably clean the garage. I will, however, record the game and watch it after my wife goes to bed. Just can't spend 3-4 hours parked in front of a TV to watch it live! (Love that FF button on the DVR!)
