  • ex-Packers in the NFL: The Next Generation

Chase Coffman is a TE for the Atlanta Falcons. He is the son of Packer Hall of Fame TE Paul Coffman.

This concludes this thread, as no other son of a Packer player has played in the NFL.

Grandpa Lavvie, Grandpa. Thank you for playing.

        One point for Whitehurst.

Actually, there is much I forgot. Twenty Packers have had sons in the NFL, two of those sons also played for the Packers. Can you name the two father-son Packers? Sure, I knew you could.

I didn't ask this question, but there 11 Packers who had dad's in the NFL, but not on Packers, including:
        Matt Brock DE 1989-1994
        Rich Moran – G, C – 1985-1993
        Dave McCloughan DB 1992
        Santana Dotson DT 1992-95
        Matt Hasselback QB 1999-2000
Eric Metcalfe – RB, WR 2002
        Clay Matthew LB – 2009-present

Here are some of the 20 Packers with NFL sons:

          Hank Bullough G – 1955, 1958
          Joe Alma-Francis QB 1958-1959
          Jerry Kramer G – 1958-1968
          Howie Williams DB - 1962-63
          Richard Moore DT – 1969-1970
          David Whitehurst QB – 1977-83
          Paul Coffman TE – 1978-1985
          Terry Jones DT – 1978-1984
          Mark Ingram WR 1995
          Keith Jackson TE 1995-1996

          This is fascinating shit, no?

Can nobody name the two father-son Packer pairs? Tragic.

Whups, excuse the clerical error. The actual 2nd packer pair:

                  Jim Flanigan
                  LB – 1967-1970
                  DT – 2001

Iron Mike & mraynrand will receive Packer Trivia Championship rings for their correct answers.
As Contest Manager, I too will receive a ring, and the jewels will be real in mine.

The only active player from a Packer family is Chase Coffman.
