They did not! But dammit, you had me there, I clicked that link before the 'they released him' one. Much better than the JJ getting traded attempt!

Does he look like he's in good shape? If so, sign him up.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Yes, Micah Hyde, assuming Hayward is coming back. I think they didn't use Hyde initially because they needed him for nickel and dime and didn't want to overwhelm him. If
Hayward is ready, Hyde is the obvious choice for punt returns. Franklin can do kick off returns.

Ross had perhaps his best Offensive play of his career in the last drive. He caught a pass and got a first down on 3rd and 8 and he got 8 yards avoiding a LB.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

He's the perfect choice - having already proven able to fumble in critical situations. Bring on San Fran!

              That's an interesting factoid...

Do they bring up Charles Johnson or Myles White, or sign a WR from the street?
I think they use the week to mull it over and see how healthy the team gets. If Hayward comes back, wouldn't be surprised if Hyde/Franklin fielded kicks.

Cobb's dynamic, but too integral to the offense to let him take a beating returning KO's. Most kickoffs end up 8 yards deep in the EZ, so maybe they just need someone who can catch.
