  • Cobb - IR Designated to Return

    Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 1m
#Packers WR Randall Cobb has been put on injured reserve / designated to return, according to NFL source. Can return to practice in 6 weeks
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

This team will either be out of contention or ready to rock and roll in early to mid December.

We have AJ Hawk we are good.
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

Ouch. So much for the optimistic end of the estimated return date. He's out a minimum 8 weeks.

          Optimism was not season ending.

In the long run, it is important to have Cobb back for the final run of the season.

However, if we can get a healthy Matthews, Hayward, and Perry back the defense could even be better. A bonus would be if anyone can make it back from the PUP list.

Sherry would be nice. If the Packers can survive to playoffs, I'd love to see Barclay at guard or center and Sherrod at RT.

Not saying he can't learn, but Barclay couldn't begin to play C in camp and early Pre-S.

They had a bunch of guy trying to snap, so Lang might be they guy. But I bet they don't want a triple shift along the line late in the season. Be a nice problem to have though...
