  • More Banjo Week 7 versus Browns

Seriously, looks like more Banjo. he was subbed in for Jennings for the second half, neither player given an explanation and he stayed in.

“I had no clue I was going in,” Banjo said. “Just before I got in, they just told me you’re going to be going in this series and I had no question. I just went in and tried to do my job.”
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

This was all I could think about.

Cobb utilized a Segway to navigate the locker room after the game, but didn’t speak to the media. He was placed on injured reserve with designation to return this week after breaking his fibula against the Ravens.

So what are Banjo's strengths and weaknesses relative to McMillan The Wife and Doc Jennings?

Banjo, so far, doesn't seem to get himself in bad positions. He is where he is supposed to be. And then he is the team's best tackler outside of Masthay and Crosby. He is not tall and I am unsure of his speed.

All I know is the Packers are getting NFL starter mileage out of two (three?) former Jacksonville rejects.

Which may explain in part why Jacksonville is 0-whatever.

Seriously, wasn't sure about it on TV, but in photos those yellow helmets look good with the throwback. Also when was the last time teams played with NO helmet logos?

              Cleveland does it every week.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Well PITT has a logo on one side only. So CLE - PITT is the closest you will get to that with regular unis.

Packers sometimes seem to troll the media, launching something that would become a media storm in any other scenario. But the players and coaches seem to trust each other enough that it doesn't ever get out of control. Plus McCarthy can do a pretty good Belichick and the coach and Rodgers have mastered admitting something and saying that its a good thing.

The Packers have evolved through necessity to the point that McCarthy mentioned how his quarterback "did a great job of managing a game."

Of course, that alarmed Rodgers, who said, "He called me a game manager?"

Relax, No. 12, McCarthy said no such thing. "That's the way I want to play here," McCarthy said. "Not a game manager, but someone who takes care of the football."

Banjo was not invited to the Combine. However, the 40 time he put up at his Pro Day would have put him among the top 5 safeties at the Combine. I suppose it's possible that was on a faster track, but I suspect his height was why he was not drafted, not his speed.

                        JSO Packer-Browns Notes

Practice counts: In the past week, for about 30 minutes a session, cornerback Davon House caught passes from backup quarterbacks Seneca Wallace and Scott Tolzien after practice. He worked on looking the ball in, on concentrating.

Sunday, House had three breakups again. This time, the big day included a fourth-down interception of Brandon Weeden.

"I'm going to continue to do so, because it's paying off," House said. "It's making me better. It's like 30 minutes after practice, I catch balls with them."

                          From Packers Replay

Myles White had his first NFL catch, a 9-yard reception, and played extensively in the slot.

So if James Jones comes back, is it White or Boykin in the slot?
