Another reason to sour on McMillan, The Wife.

Is he PS eligible if he were to be cut?

Ryan Taylor update: he is close to returning.

On the mend: Tight end Ryan Taylor said that his goal is to be ready for the Bears game Monday night.

Taylor underwent knee surgery after the Baltimore game when his knee swelled up and it was determined he needed to have some cartilage trimmed so it would stop pressing on a nerve. The procedure was fairly minor and Taylor was able to do some running in the Don Hutson Center last week.

"We're progressing along very well," Taylor said. "Tomorrow will be a milestone and we'll see how it feels and hopefully I'll be back soon. We'll see how it goes this week."

Masthay said after the first kick, when it was clear they would not automatically sail out of bounds, they switched to Crosby for better hang time and also to kick directionally.

Huh. The gamebook has Masthay kicking the first 2 KOs.

That's why he was out, not that he did that last night. He's fine... for now.

Radio had Crosby on the second kick right away. But I did not see it. However, they really focused on it as it was a directional kick and they boxed him up at the 12.

Hayward is still the nickel back, if this covers most of the game: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packe...229493741.html

                  ■ Cornerback Casey Hayward made his season debut in Green Bay's nickel package midway through the second quarter and often covered Jennings.

I did notice Hayward...he was in on the tackle of GJ when they pulled him down after his game breaking 9 yard catch!

Sportsline play-by-play has Masthay on the KO, but that's hardly gospel. I didn't notice when it happened, checked after mmmmmmmdk said something and it said Masthay. I paid attention on the next one (3rd) and it was Crosby though.

That reminds me, weren't there allegations a few years ago that there was some big-ass ventilation units toward the endzones that always mysteriously came on and actually knocked balls down when opponents kicked off?

As strong as Mathay has been kicking, its hard to believe that indoors he couldn't kick it out of the endzone so long as he didn't mis-hit it.

He was all of a half yard short. If you saw the replay of the runback, Patterson's foot was inches inside the back line of the endzone.

I know there's talk about those vents helping Twins hit more HRs and hindering other teams. Doesn't surprise me if it does happen since the Vikings are just a bunch of cheating, whiny bitches.

When they showed the view from the camera on the endline, it was farther from the endline than it looked in the other views. His foot wasn't close at all to being out.

But Masthay has kicked well beyond the endline, by yards. He said he targets the first row of seats when he kicks. More importantly, he said they realized after that one kick that they wouldn't be able to get it out. Usually, kickers have better distance indoors, so I would have expected Masthay to have no trouble kicking through the endzone.
