Well, I will forever use this game to remind everyone that a run game is worth jack in today's NFL.

The last few years this team has been really good at scoring TD's in the redzone and creating turnovers and we completely suck in both of those areas this year. I don't know what the difference is but both of these issues are really coming back to haunt us in tight games. Really disappointed in the way the D played when they knew basically from the beginning that the O wasn't going to be able to score very many points.

When you have a good offense, the D is on the field less, and the opposing offense often is forced to pass more than they might prefer.


You find out how good a defense is when the offense goes south. Maybe they aren't as good as we thought.

They haven't been good much this year. Middle of the pack at their best. Only the run D has improved.

I was also troubled by the last in the League ranking in red zone defense. Had not heard that before.

I wasn't aware of that wonderful fact either PB and this is the first time I've heard about it. That's definitely not a stat you want to be leading the league in either. I guess instead of a, "bend but don't break D" were just a flat out broken D.
