  • Bears 6-14 on 3rd down. Packers 1-9. That was the difference.
    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

Which boils down to QB play, no?

      • Hoping for the best. Separated shoulder or AC joint injury would be more hopeful than a dislocated shoulder or (obviously) a broken collar bone. I don't recall seeing him wearing any type of sling, but of course he was wearing a sweat jacket, so it could have been rigged up with the jacket over it. Get well soon Aaron! Time to call Matt Flynn. We're better with him. He has more time in our system than anywhere else.

        • Final thought
          Eddie Lacy = Earl Campbell
          Seneca Wallace = Rich Campbell

          • It didn't help that the defense was down to 2 OLB, one of whom was a converted DE, and that they lost Lang on their last scoring drive. They damn near had to go out and start signing people up right off the street.

Losing Lang last night might have been the second biggest injury news from last night's game that isn't being talked about.

Yeah, they really didn't move much after that.

Concussion in the first half. I thought McCarthy was running a jumbo formation with Barclay at RT and Newhouse at TE. But someone posted a Lang update that he was out with a concussion.

BTW, the Packers should get great credit for acknowledging head injuries as concussions and not beating around the bush trying to cheat the system. It reflects well on the team.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

True, and I agree concussions are nothing to ignore. However sometimes I wish this team could play through some of their boo boo's.

                          • A bad nights sleep last night after the Bears @ Lambeau and loss of Rodgers and Lang.

Just taking stock and found this interesting observation/reaction, after the game overall.

Green Bay Packers fans hope Aaron Rodgers won't miss extended time with his injury, especially after Seneca Wallace's unimpressive outing. Find out what else we learned Monday night.

Seneca Wallace can't replace Aaron Rodgers

                            By Chris Wesseling ... Around the League Writer ... Published: Nov. 5, 2013 at 12:47 a.m. ... Updated: Nov. 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.

"Bolstered by a couple of fortuitous bounces and what is quickly becoming the NFL's most dominant ground attack, Wallace held the offense hostage after replacing Rodgers. By the middle of the third quarter, the Bears' defense was stacking the box to stop Eddie Lacy and daring Wallace to beat them through the air.

                            Wallace couldn't do it."

Here's what else we learned in Monday's game:

                            1. Bears coach Marc Trestman arrived in Chicago with a reputation as a quarterback whisperer. Through half a season we've seen nothing to dispel that notion. Banished from the NFL as an assistant high school coach for the majority of 2011 and 2012, McCown has been every bit as impressive as Jay Cutler as an injury fill-in the past two games. McCown checked into the correct run calls, made plays out of the pocket, pushed the ball accurately down the field and found a way to get the ball into his best players' hands in the red zone Monday night. With Trestman pushing all the right buttons, the Bears have no reason to rush Cutler back before he's ready.

                            2. Between Trestman's Midas touch and the Bears' physical receivers, McCown was in a better position to succeed than any backup quarterback this season. McCown and Brandon Marshall connected on a spectacular 23-yard touchdown, and Alshon Jeffery continues to play like one of the best young skill-position players in the NFL.

                            • This team is in trouble, big time. They could field a better team with the injured players than the one they put on the field. Not quite, but seems like it! I thought the D was disgusting last night, sometimes you have to sac up and give your team a shot. MM is kind of a pussy in my eyes too. Why don't you challenge the call on the pass to Quarless, you have nothing really to lose, but a meaningless timeout. You have a ton to gain, that play puts you close to a scoring opportunity. Then you come out and call and onside kick, cause you know your O can't sustain drives? I don't know whether to give him credit for keeping the game close or calling him out for not at least trying to take advantage of 8 and 9 man boxes. I'm leaning toward pussy, cause they lost and as a fan I'm allowed to be irrational!

And due to the concussion process - he's not playing Sunday, is that correct?
