Agree, but part of that is on the QB too, i.e. ball placement. I liked Tolzien's aggressiveness, but some of his throws were not where the receiver is used to. But that's the nature of playing a 3rd string QB. Collectively, O-line, WRs and the QB sucked today. Not much you can do about it.

Good point. This season has taken such a disappointing turn. I too felt this was a Super Bowl caliber team just 2 weeks ago. FUCK!

The Giants, Vikings and Steelers are all improving and that leaves the Falcons as the 'only' easier touch left.

Our new guy Scott 'the Kid' Tolzien.

Nice work young man. You simply need a team effort to support you. The Green Bay Packers are in serious bad shape.

Is it time to re-think the blue print? Time to hit the panic button?

It just is what it is. A team with needs.
Nice mention of Tolzien. I thought he was a bright spot, if there was any, despite the 2 INTs. He made some nice throws and kept his confidence up in his arm. It looks as though he might be the capable backup we're looking for. I feel like he has the tools to succeed in M3's QB room.

It's not time to panic yet, but the defense is starting to worry me.

See now, is it Capers scheme, position coaches or the players themselves that are to blame for defenders constantly out of position. Piss poor tackling is also to blame. Oh and pad level too.

                    Classy move by Chip Kelly.

                    • I don't know. The D looked bad on the 3 long TD plays and that last drive -- including the second week in a row where they could have tackled a guy well short of the first down. But if Tolzien doesn't throw the INT in the endzone and/or Jordy makes that catch on 4th down, this thing looks different.

                          • I know coaches like to say injuries are no excuse, next man up and all that, but at some point the adversity becomes a bit too much to overcome to provide a realistic chance to compete and win. In the recent Super Bowl year, they had guys go down for the year and replaced them on the roster. This year has some of that, but also a lot of guys with nagging injuries who may be out for a few weeks, but not enough to IR them. They still have to hold their roster spot, which temporarily hurts their depth and production. Frustrating season for sure.

As for the defense, they are not getting a lot of pressure on the QB. Mostly, both McCown and Foles looked like they had too much time and not enough disruption to their drop backs. That would certainly help the DB's. It would be nice to see Datone break out and show why he was drafted in the first round.
