" In case you were pondering the whereabouts of one of the most influential pro football writers of the past four decades, SI.com’s Peter King, in his MMQB, has a health update on former Sports Illustrated writer Paul Zimmerman.
Zimmerman, better known as Dr. Z, has reached the three-year anniversary of a series of three strokes that left him unable to read, write and speak, and for now, it seems the improvement of his health has plateaued.
King spoke with Zimmerman’s wife, Linda, last week, and even though her husband has limitations, he still keeps on top of the news regularly, maintains a positive attitude and exercises every day.
“We're not depressed,'' Linda told King. “I think it's because we have each other.”..."

Sports Illustrated Presents Dr. Z's Greatest Moments in Super Bowl History should be the most famous piece of sportswriting about football, period. So how come you’ve almost certainly never heard of it?
