Friday's Injury Report (usually there is a Sat update but I haven't seen it yet)

    Packers
Out: DE C.J. Wilson (ankle), QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone).
    Questionable: C Evan Dietrich-Smith (ankle/knee).
Probable: TE Brandon Bostick (concussion), ILB Jamari Lattimore (quadriceps), LT David Bakhtiari (illness), OLB Mike Neal (abdomen), DT Ryan Pickett (knee), OLB Nick Perry (foot).

    Falcons
Questionable: TE Tony Gonzalez (toe), S Zeke Motta (hand).
Probable: C Peter Konz (ankle), LB Sean Weatherspoon (knee).

EDS missed practice on Friday, two in a row due to his ankle. Officially Questionable.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Same would go for EDS at center but then I doubt they bench Barclay for Sherrod.
I may have scooped myself. If Lang is at center, then they could leave Barclay at RT and stick Taylor in at Guard.

EDS has to be healthy enough to at least backup today as he is one of only seven OL active.

Sigh. I've lost faith in this team, altogether. They suck right now.

If they win today, give MM some credit. This team is listing badly. And alot of that's on him. They haven't played for shit since Rodgers went down.
Fritz: The Atlanta Falcons don't play well in a cold weather stadium. The defeated the Buffalo Bills on the road last week because that game was played in Toronto at the Skydome. If they had played that game in Buffalo...would the Falcons have won?

In analysis the Packers are the superior team. ie Here are some examples:

        a) Overall offense: Falcons 13th and Packers 5th

        b) Passing Offense: Falcons 5th and Packers 7th.

        c) Rushing Offense Packers 8th and Falcons 29th.

        d) SCORING Offense: PACKERS 11th and Falcons @ 23rd.

        e) In REAL QB Rating Differential comparison the Packers are the better team by nearly 14.

        f) The Falcons allow a terrible 28.3 pts/game and score 21.8. Packers Pts. for = 24.5... Pts. against = 25.4

        g) Green Bay wins the comparison in Toxic Differential by a differential of 9 (- 4 Packers and - 13 Falcons)

        Looking at the intangibles:

It's going to come down to Mike Smith Vs Mike McCarthy at Lambeau Field. MM cannot allow this game to get away from him in the 'W' column.

It's going to be in MM's play calling and reaction to his QB's success or not. It's going to come down to Flynn demonstrating more confidence with the Packers Offense Vs Matt Ryan using his weapons ( Roddy White, Stephen Jackson and Tony Gonzalez) effectively.

Matt Flynn was sacked six times last week Vs the Bills. This guy is nearly as slow in the pocket doing his check downs as Matt Flynn (sacked seven times by the Lions in week 13).

How well can Matt Ryan perform in the cold and in winter conditions !? He hasn't played very well all season in excellent conditions.

I see no reason to give up on the Packers today.

Would I bet a lot of $money$ on the Packers ?

        NO !!

I'd say that's the plan. Taylor/Barclay on the right side probably helps the running game more than Barclay/Sherrod. I think MM will definitely be looking to run the ball if he can. And I'm sure you would agree that's the key to victory.

It will be packed with non-regulars.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Two good plays against the run to start.

Why the defense is on the field?

I was a Packer fan in the 70's. This is not even close.
