Did Mike McCarthy concur with the decision on Aaron Rodgers today? "Absolutely." #Packers

    Mike Vandermause ‏@MikeVandermause 33m
MM: I think Aaron clearly wants to play, he's very competitive man, done everything he can, but he understands how organization feels.

    Jason Wilde ‏@jasonjwilde 39m
Brandon Bostick, Johnny Jolly also officially ruled out. #Packers

BOSTICK IS OUT FOR THE YEAR

    Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 37m
McCarthy: We feel we can beat Pittsburgh with Matt Flynn. Was hopeful Aaron's health would progress.

COULD BE STRENGTH TESTING IS THE ISSUE OR IS THIS JUST SMOKE?

MM: Randall Cobb practiced today. Will see how he feels tomorrow. Good for him to get 3 days of practice in.

    Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 37m
MM: Wilson got stronger as week went on. Curious to see how Cobb feels tomorrow. Made progress this week.

    Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 41m
Cobb looks good, MM says. "Made progress this week." .... MM on Bostick, going to have surgery and will end season.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Yaa we have to just let this play out.

Maybe Flynn leads us on a run all the way to the Super Bowl. Then we get this:

Next year we get more MM:

MM: We'll be going with Matt Flynn at QB again this week. We're extremely confident with Matt Flynn.

MM: What do you mean why!?

MM: Matt Flynn sets a new Packer's record every week he's behind center.

MM: Yea OK that other guy ... (he's taking a pause)

MM: Ahh it's week to week with regards to ahh what's his name ohh OK..right ....Aaron Rodgers. We need him back as Matt Flynn's backup.

MM: What's that ..Ohh yea we pay Rodgers a lot of money as a backup. We feel he's the best in the league in that role.

MM: Wait.... is it week to week or day to day...I'll talk to the man up the ladder and see and get back to you after the next medical day.

MM: What's that you say... Am I sure? Damn right I'm sure !! That's an 'Organizational' decision. Don't piss me off.

MM: Now I'm grouchy so ... I'm out of here.

How much worse is this going to get?

It's arrived at far far too much now.

Eddie Lacy returns to practice, looks set for Sunday http://wp.me/p14QSB-9mKR

SCROLL THROUGH THIS LONG ONE UNTIL YOU GET TO THE EAGLES SECTION ON HEALTH

The Richie Incognito-Jonathan Martin saga threatened to tear apart the Miami Dolphins, but the team responded by making a playoff push. Albert Breer talks to the man who kept it all together, Joe Philbin.

One year is next to no evidence it has made a difference, but this is an obvious candidate for the Packers to try to avoid preventable injuries.

Just have a guy come around with "special" water bottles and tell each player that they have to finish it. It works wonders for the Chinese Olympic teams. And the Seahawks.

            • Guys, it'll be ok: the Packers practiced outside today.

              Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 8m
Would like to thank Packers for practicing inside when we got to watch before moving outside to practice in snowstorm.

Remember when we all wanted our team to have a running game featuring a big, mudder-type back and to practice outside when the weather got bad? Here you go.

Now everyone is wringing their hands over the health of some prissy dome QB. Jeez.

No announcement yet. Some are thinking Cobb takes one of their spots, but while McCarthy sounded positive, he just started running in practice this week. Seems unlikely he is ready to play tho weekend.

Personally I say we stick with Flynn. That Rodgers cat is lousy in close games and never leads us on 4th quarter comebacks. Flynn is money in tight games and we need a 4thQ comeback almost every week.

That's what I was thinking as well. Seems like quite a stretch to go from running to game in 3 days.

Mike McCarthy is definitely riding his learning curve.

Actually, he started running last week. He didn't really start practicing until this week.
                              I can't run no more

                              • i was down in that area when they were practicing today, and it was fucking brutal. windy as shit, cold and blowing snow everywhere.

nice to see the coaching staff grow some balls and make the players practice in the elements they play in

i also think i saw lacy at the mall after practice. he wasn't limping at all. so thats good
