What would have happened had we tied???

A tie in regulation = OT and the game then plays out like any regular season tied game.

See NFL OT rules.

If that game goes through OT and remains tied the Bears win the NFCN and advance to the playoffs and our side FIRES Dom Capers etc. etc.

Our defense is so bad. It's not all on Dom Capers either.

A lot of it's on injury ie CM III and what Dom Capers is supplied with.

A few thoughts, some touched on in this thread, others not. In the first half and the first drive of the 3rd quarter, I was very disappointed that MM's game plan was designed for KUHN (of all people!) to be the 3rd down back in the shotgun formation. I'd have to rematch but I feel like there were around 4-5 plays like that in the first half and of course 3rd and 1 in the 3rd quarter. Having Kuhn back there is telling the defense you are passing.

Starks ran better than Lacy today, and I wish Starks would have carried the ball more today. MM kept trotting out bum ankle Lacy. Even on Lacy's TD, I could have jogged that puppy in.

MM sticking with the pitch out run play, even though it worked only once. We must have ran that play 7-8 times, and in a game where you only run 60-70 plays, it's mind boggling that a play that is not working well is run that many times. The same thing goes for the slow developing outside runs. I haven't liked them for a while. They don't seem to work often, and in Chicago the field is awful for cut backs, and Lacy's ankle appeared to be affecting him.

Lastly, I feel the play calling was some of the worst I've ever seen on our final drive. That we converted 3 4th downs to keep the ball and score is stuff you can only make up for TV. It also lends credence to the theory that you should never punt on 4th down. Can someone bump that thread?

Starks should have had the majority of the carries today. He looked fresh and ran with anger. Lacy is a gamer but you have to hand that sucker to Starks more often when lacy is hurt. Also....why not work the left side of the Bears defense more often?

Rodgers said the Bears changed up the D to clog the middle. So those wide runs were by design to avoid the traffic jam. Its also why they could pass on them even when there were two deep safeties.

I agree Starks should have gotten more carries, maybe alternated to give Lacy's ankle some rest.
