Word here is The Schvantz is gone - the management is meeting this morning - and that, lo and behold, there was "dysfunction" between Mayhew and Schwartz. Mayhew procured the talent but apparently The Schvantz did not use the talent in ways Mayhew thought would be effective. People keep talking about how he upgraded the talent, but he's also got the team in a sal cap strap in the next two years, with Suh's rookie contract about to be up and all those free agents he's brought in (Bush, Tulloch, Idonjae, Quinn, et al).
