Ahh no sweat red. It's similar to tieing up and swinging on a monkey rope. The thrill guaranteed to accompany the ride.

      • Get there early and park at the K Mart - good spot for tailgating - even in the freezing cold. Still 20 bucks this year, right?

the national weather service has issued a wind chill warning for green bay starting saturday and running through sunday.

it says early sunday, exposed skin can be at risk of frost bite in 30 minutes, by sunday afternoon to sunday night, frost bite can happen in 10 minutes

its so nice of the nfl to force fans to risk life and limb for this game. i might go just so i can lose a finger and sue the fucking shit out of the nfl
This from the same league that has weather delays from lightning or heavy rain downpours.

They must think the cold won't hurt them. Just think of those stupid enough to get drunk at that game. Talk about playing Russian roulette with those wind chills...

            • When I have gone to games, I parked behind Echo Ridge Dentistry. It's off of Ridge Road, SW of stadium. BUT YOU HAVE TO GET THERE EARLY. It's free and it's never usually plastered with temporary No Parking signs.

yup, you really want to avoid lombardi at all cost, especially this year with 2 of the 3 highways being all fucked up

my advice is to stick to the minor roads as long as possible, go in the opposite direction from the traffic, once you're away from the stadium, then start to worry about going in the right direction

or just do what i said above, go hang out in a bar or k-mart for 30 or 45 minutes and let everyone else screw with the traffic. then cruise on out of town like you own the roads

also PB, if you don't know already, 41 has just insane amounts of construction on it, and the big bridge on 43 on the north end of town is closed because it partially collapsed

I was going to say maybe people won't get drunk because you don't have to drink as fast since the beer stays cold longer in this weather. But maybe they'll have to drink it fast before it freezes.

                      wow, that was fast

well, i sure as hell am not gonna drive on it for a few years. i'll let the other guinea pigs test out the rube goldberg fix to the bridge that is 400 feet above the fox river

                      • Was aware of the bridge, but not a concern. Coming north from Appleton on 41. Not sure how to avoid it on the way home. Figuring I am headed on something South to 172 then over to 41S.

Plan to get there early. I bought the $25 spot just to guarantee something close. Appreciate the suggestions Joe, Dan red and dean but figured I would be better served with a know commodity ahead of time. Haven't been to Lambeau since first recent renovation.

Next question is warmth and food/drink before the game. Plan is to be there before Noon. Need to be somewhere warm and with food.

                        Any suggestions on that?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

                        • I drive 41 north/south from Green Bay to Kimberly every day for work. Construction isn't as bad as it was, but the temporary cement barriers and temporary lanes make it interesting for those not familiar with it. I usually took back roads through Freedom and Oneida to get to and from the game. There's the usual cluster trying to get out of the stadium area, but if you know your way around the side streets, you can avoid the nightmare 41 becomes.

Glad they got the Frigo bridge open this weekend. Felt sorry for the poor guys who've been working around the clock to get that thing repaired. (hope it stays that fixed....)

I am glad they got the repairs done, but I will not drive that bridge either. It's windier that hell anytime of the year there, and I hate driving on it winter or summer.

well, the team has a massive tailgate tent now in the east parking lot. i think they have bands and all that jazz

stdium view is a huge bar and its gonna be right there for you. go to the backside of the resch center, towards the practise field and take a left away from the stadium. its a few hundred feet away

and if you really want to jinx us, you can go right behind stadium view to the brett favre steakhouse
