Looked to me like the game plan called for us to run the ball to set up the pass. We ran the ball well, but SF played us to pass on almost every down. The big pass plays we had were nearly all broken plays that Rodgers extended with his legs. It was actually a very good game plan, but Rodgers was just not at the top of his game. He probably was told to brace himself and take the sack to avoid re-injury, and he did that too many times. This resulted in missed chances.
MM called a good game, but I suspect that we had quite a few missed blocks that hurried some passes and slowed some runs. Remember, SF has a very good defense, so it wasn't just our mistakes. A very wise person on this board once said" it's players, not plays". Very true.Comment
