Nelson being asked about his contract status, and saying all the right things, although not helping his agent's negotiating position.
Packers receiver Jordy Nelson is heading into the final year of his contract, but he hopes to have a new deal in place long before the start of free agency in 2015.

His last deal, 3yr/12.6M, wow that was a crazy team friendly one!

He signed at the wrong time, his career high for TDs in a season were 2 when he signed his contract then went on to have 15 the next season.... womp womp.

The 50th edition of the game will be played in February 2016 in Santa Clara, California. The NFL said Wednesday it will be called "Super Bowl 50" instead of "Super Bowl L."
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Clay Matthews on Ellen right after the '11 SB was hilarious. They did a skit where Ellen was an NFL pundit, and she kept referring to the upcoming SB, XLVI as "Super Bowl ex-liv-ee". Matthews did NOT do a good job of keeping a straight face.

This young safety has extreme talent. This guy is going to step right up and into the Green Bay Packers starting lineup and look like the BEST man on our side during some games this season.

I hope Hasean "HAHA" Clinton-Dix looks like what we had once in ** the exceptional Safety play of Leroy Butler; where Safety Nick Collins got to eventually.

** Career highlights and awards Safety Leroy Butler:

                    4× Pro Bowl selection (1993, 1996, 1997, 1998)
                    4× All-Pro selection (1993, 1996, 1997, 1998)
                    Super Bowl champion (XXXI)
                    NFL 1990s All-Decade Team
Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame

                    Career NFL statistics

                    Interceptions 38
                    INT yards 533
                    Sacks 20.5

What an amazing value pick fell to Ted Thompson. Picking Hasean Ha Ha Clinton - Dix was a "no brainer". This man is a player. He'll put an entirely different look on our "D" along with the acquisition of OLB/DE Julius Peppers. For Peppers to work we need to see a healthy Clay Matthews III. Clay Matthews has to return to full form.

Add this to the way we saw Tramon Williams finished late last season and the signing of RCB Sam Shields.

Add the expected maturation and confidence of Nick Price, Datone Jones, Mike Neal, Mike Daniels, Josh Boyd, Micah Hyde, Casey Hayward, Davon House.

How will we stack up in the trench's? The key to our success will come from improved play on the OL and DL. The OL must keep Aaron Rodgers on his feet more.

Does Aaron Rodgers have an NFL center [B]finally and again [/B;]since Pro Bowler (2011) Scott Wells left Green Bay?

                    Will Bryan Bulaga be ready/strong?

Will DT Derek Sherrod ever come forward to the stage?

Will OT David Bakhtiari escape the sophomore jinx; and versatile Don Barkley improve on his contribution?

So much on an effective OL depends on teamwork and chemistry between all of the lineman. The OL needs strength in terms of depth.

Aaron Rodgers must get rid of the ball if plays are not breaking...faster. I hate to see him punish himself...." throw the ball away Aaron".

We need a huge step up at the head of the snake in our 3-4 Defense.

Will DT BJ Raji rebound? What does this fella have inside of him? I hated what I saw (excuse me ..didn't see) from B. J. Raji last season. He was just horrible and embarrassed himself on the field. He played ugly.

Was TT's acquisition of DT Letroy Guion anything approaching brialliant?

Will DE Josh Boyd getting bigger add or subtract to the DL performance?

Will TT watch and if necessary not hesitate to bring in added help if any of these three fails to step up? I hope that TT is right there ...right now. The 3 part of the 3-4 is a concern to me.

TT didn't do a lot to shore up the inside LBer position. He did draft a man that might be a fit in the 4th Round:

                    Arizona State's Carl Bradford

Maybe one or both LB Andy Mulumba and Nate Palmer will make a step forward and be moved inside on a situational basis?

If it doesn't come together or get very close then TT and MM must make a huge change in coaching on the Defensive side of the Green Bay Packers game.

It's MM's job to ensure that his coaching staff have their players in shape and ready to go for 16 games. It's MM's job to demand credibility from Dom Capers.

As a Packer fan I expect no less than a berth in the NFC Championship game. That means we need to exceed or keep up with teams like Seattle, San Francisco, Philadelphia and New Orleans.

I'm keeping an eye on the Atlanta Falcons to see if their headed in the right direction. The same goes for Arizona, Chicago and Detroit.

The St. Louis Rams and QB!?

This is a BIG SEASON for TT and MM and Aaron Rodgers and the Green bay Packers.

                    GO PACK GO !

I think I read yesterday that Super Bowl FIFTY will be Super Bowl '50' dropping the Roman Numerals".

So instead of Super Bowl 'L'...it's be a boring ole Super Bowl '50'.

That brings to mind a decent ALE:

Shoot .....the neighbors dog is called "50".

                        I call him "Dog 50".

I guess we know who the MVP will be:

                          I can't run no more
                          With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
                          Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
                          A thundercloud

                            NFC North
Packers 12-4 (2): Healthy Aaron Rodgers means another healthy shot at Super Bowl. Defense looks markedly improved.

                            Seahawks (1) def. Bears (5)
                            Packers (2) def. Saints (3)

Don't really like those predictions, NFC West is stacked but they won't have four 10 win teams. He also doesn't have any surprise teams which happen every year, I think that team will be the Bucs this year. They added a lot on offense this off-season and Lovie will have their defense back on track.

Gruden would likely agree with you.

                                Sapp certainly would.
