Actually, pbmax's comment at #25 (page 2) is pretty interesting as far as players acquired and how many did better elsewhere after leaving GB. The list is pretty short, which confirms what I already knew: they have always been pretty good at keeping their own good players, and usually pretty good at knowing when someone either doesn't have it or there's not much left in the tank.Originally posted by KYPack View PostHad to bump this one for the historical significance.

It might convince some to NOT be fan boys
They've had some concerning lack of self-scouting moments with MLF - e.g., thinking Jake Hanson is one of your best 5 OL to start, not moving Savage to the slot, replacing Newman with Tom, Rodgers' RPO tendencies, running out of shotgun with Dillon, etc. -- but I think that's on the coaches not the front office. I think for purposes of roster construction and player acquisition/retention they are pretty good.
those guys are watching the practices, they are watching other players around the league and in CFB, they better know if a player is any good if they want to keep their jobs.

Alex McGough and Jace Sternberger are quite a connection tonight -- 25-yard touchdown for a 21-0 Birmingham lead on Memphis just before halftime. Sternberger already with 123 receiving yards on four catches, McGough up to 197 with 2 TDs.I can't run no more

He can’t block. Not much use for a TE in the NFL that can’t block. Might as well use another WR if that’s the case.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostGreg Auman

The #Jets are signing veteran OL Billy Turner to a 1-yr deal worth up to $3.15 million, per source.
It’s the latest reunion with Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hackett, who coached Turner in Green Bay and Denver. Turner has 75 career starts.I can't run no more

Turner was a good pickup for GB back in the day and that's a cheap deal.
I would think he will help the Jets OL depth and might even start.

A reunion: Former Packers’ WR Randall Cobb is expected to agree to a one-year deal with the New York Jets, allowing him to play with Aaron Rodgers in NY, per sources. The two men who walked off the field together in Green Bay now get to do more work to do together.I can't run no more
