actually, your comment was about crazy people and god. There was no religion in there, only implied. I made an appropriate counter argument as to why someone like you might think this was a common connection. Many sane believers in god feel that god gives them direction. The popular media (which is undeniably largely secular and largely left) likes to conflate direction for god and insanity.
