You guys have it backwards. He already played 3-4 OLB at Carolina. He wanted to go play DE in a 4-3 and it was part of the reason that people criticized him for being an underachiever in Carolina.

Some time after he left, Carolina switched to the 4-3 anyway.

Carolina played a 4-3 when he was there. He was always listed on their roster as either LDE or RDE. Dan Morgan and Jon Beason were listed as the starting MLB's during his years there. He may have dropped into coverage more than most DE's because of his athleticism, but he was always listed as a DE.

Julius Peppers is old, I'll give you that, but freaks like that are just that, freaks. He is still one of the most athletic linemen in the league most likely. He could be a JJ Watt type guy at 3-4 DE. Probably not as dominant, but he has the length, strength, weight and frame I'm looking for.

All off-season they've been talking about wanting to get more Datone Jones type athletes, body types, etc. I've been hollering for some taller guys, like Marcus Stroud and John Henderson from that dominant JVille front many moons ago. I want my DE guys 6'5" or taller. If we have Raji at NT, then Peppers and Jones make darn good sized ends. I would be very pleased with that.

It would be a mistake to assume that Mike Neal AND Nicky P are both going to stay healthy and Neal will be able to rush from DE frequently. This hasn't happened yet and we have no reason to believe it will. I would be overjoyed with Peppers on a two year deal.

I would gladly pay 2 years, 20M guaranteed. There will be no ill effects of a two year deal. Roll the dice TT. Land yourself a top 2 3-4 DE in the league.

Imagine... 3rd and 5, Mike Neal and Clay coming from the left, Perry and Peppers coming from the right. Raji up the middle.

I'm just now understanding I think that the Pat's landed Mr. Revis. The way things have gone for the BRONCOS the Pats were almost forced to make some kind of big play move to just try to keep Denver in sight.

The Denver Broncos are killing it in Free Agency...signing three Pro Bowl caliber UFA's Safety T.J. Ward,: CB Aquib Talib and then they really go for it obtaining a man the experts say has lots left in huis tank.

The Bronco's GM John Elway brings to Peyton Manning and Company. The Dallas Cowboys All Time leading sack artist DeMarcus Ware with a recorded 117 sacks in nine seasons, and earning Pro Bowl honors every year from 2006 to 2012. Ware was off some in 2013 having a career-low six sacks in 2013 and missing the first three games with a quadriceps strain.

The Denver Bronco fans have to love it. It's not without some risk but nothing more ventured nothing more gained with the Broncos having one if not the most potent offenses in NFL history.

It's just simply their time with Peyton Manning to stay dialed in and they were AFC favourites prior to Free Agency; but have gone all in to get their "D" where it must be to compete for a Super Bowl again next season.

Having an offense that scores 38 points per game and a 'D' almost as bad as the Green Bay Packers just doesn't cut it.

The AFC sucked last year. If the Pats have even an average year of injuries they are the class to beat in the AFC IMO.

They lost a lot more than Gronk. They lost Wilfork and Mayo too. Plus the Pats had a big ass signing of their own in Revis. Some steps forward in those rookie receivers 2nd season and that's starting to look like a really complete team IMO.

I agree they will be a good team but Broncos are still the clear favorites in the AFC.

Losing Wilfork was a 'Big Deal' legitimately, but Mayo is a glorified JAG, to be honest.

In addition to JP, I would sign Shaun Phillips. He could likely be had for 1-2M per year based on earnings in recent years. He had 10 sacks last year, is 32, and is a proven commodity as a pass rusher. Would be a great guy to get on the field on 3rd down for very little money.

broncos were there and have kept that team together for the most part, they've just tried to fill in the holes they had. not build a super bowl team from scratch
