I would like a long 3-4 end, and a fast ILB. Don't really care about any other positions right now. I would like the first four picks to be D.
They absolutely need to rebuild their WR corps. Far too many times the past several years they have had two WRs down with injuries, and always seem to have at least one out or limited. The #3 and #4 receivers are critical position because they play routinely even when everyone is healthy. let alone when injuries hit.

Since they added Cobb, they have lost Driver, Jennings and Jones. Throw in the apparent loss of Finley, and they clearly need to add someone who can catch the ball. Maybe some of the no-names on the roster already will step up, but I'm not counting on them to do it.

They need to find their 4th WR. I think Boykin is legit as a #3-4. This is a great year to find that guy. With 3 picks tonight, I think TT will find his guy.

OK. I can look up the chart too, but forget the chart, do you really think their second and third will move them up to the top of the second (how high do you think they can get, and who would be worth moving up for?)

Per the old chart that has been around forever:

            Packers have #53 (370 points) and #85 (165 points) - total of 535
I wrote in my earlier post that they dould move to about the 4th pick of the second round, which is worth 540 points. The 5th is 530 on the chart.

I asked if there would be anyone worth making that trade for, because I don't follow the build up to the draft all that much. There seem to be a bunch who were projected as possible 1st round picks that are still on the board, like Ealy, Lee, Kouandjio. Hageman, Nix and Tuitt. Then you have all the top tight ends after Ebron and the top center still available. I don't know if any of them make it to the Packers at #53, but is anyone so valuable as to give up #85 to get him? Four years from now we might say "yes", or we might be glad the trade wasn't made.

^^^ I knew you would quote the chart!

I think it could be worthwhile to move up, but I don't follow college to know how good these guys are. I see a game here and there and fall in love with guys. I'd be the worst GM ever. I saw Moncrief and Hageman play. Hageman, when he shows effort, is astonishing. Then he takes plays off and looks like 'Ol Cleedeeus. He could be better than Santana Dotson. Or not.

Personally, I like Moncrief, but I read differing opinions on his route running. I think it's a quality that is important to TT and MM. Anybody have an educated opinion on his route running? I'd be happy with Lee, Matthews, Adams, Latimer, or Robinson. I wonder what TT thinks of Jarvis Landry. He doesn't really fit the measurables that TT usually drafts at WR, but he reminds me of a less athletic Donald Driver.

I guess you guys are right. I want the best available player. Hopefully, those happen to be a 6'5" or taller DE and an ILB that can become a pro bowler.

                      Yes I agree.

I hope that TT gets a solid WR prospect as a priority over a TE.

He needs to find a WR that is really into playing football and learning/growing. loves to learn the game and puts in the extra hours.

Me too. Some teams I watch regularly, but for most of the college guys all I have ever seen are highlights. Since no one puts out highlights including their worst plays, they don't mean much. When even the guys who do this for a living can't agree on the potential for many players, I don't even try.

I hope they sit tight. There should be a pretty good player at #53 - I don't think the drop off will be that great as far as quality player available.

                          Ealy

                          Latimer

There will be a few OTs and QBs who should get scooped up quickly, that will help force one of these guys above down to us. Most of the guys above would not have shocked me if they went in the first. Most will be gone by the Packers pick, but odds are 1 or 2 will be there, and any one of these guys would justify sitting tight.

It would be nice to find a guy who is good enough to be a starter in a couple years, even if he doesn't need to be one in GB. I hope he can find that kind of guy in the third round, and a more immediate impact guy in the 2nd.

In this draft he's easily an early Rd. 2 pick. His GRADE is a solid 5.92.

15 NFL Teams have primary need at WR. Eight of those teams select in the second round ahead of the Green Bay Packer's NO. 53 pick.
