  • Quick 2nd round Mock Draft...

Made a quick mock draft til the Packers selection to see which prospects have a chance of being available when we pick.

    Texans- QB Derek Carr
    Skins- OG Xavier Su'a-Flio
    Browns- WR Marqise Lee
    Raiders- QB Jimmy Garoppolo
    Falcons- DE Kony Ealy
    Bucs- OT Joel Bitonio
    Jags- DE Demarcus Lawrence
    Seahawks- OT Cyrus Kouandjio
    Bills- OT Morgan Moses
    Titans- RB Carlos Hyde
    Giants- DL Stephon Tuitt
    Rams- WR Jordan Matthews
    Lions-CB Rashaad Reynolds
    Steelers- NT Louis Nix III
    Cowboys- DL Ra'Shede Hageman
    Ravens- TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins
    Jets- WR Cody Latimer
    Dolphins- RB Jeremy Hill
    Bears- RB Bishop Sankey
    Cardinals- QB AJ McCarron
Packers- NT Timmy Jernigan? TE Jace Amaro? WR Allen Robinson? OLB Jeremiah Attaochu? TE Troy Niklas? WR Davante Adams? Trade down?

I'm hoping we can pick up another starter with our 2nd round pick. I'm hoping for TE or WR but I could see TT taking a NT here to replace Raji later down the road. Either way we are going to end up with a very talented player if we don't trade out of the spot.

I think Jace Amaro would make a lot of sense here. Still hoping Jordan Matthews falls. The second round is TT's best round. Nick Collins, Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Casey Hayward, Eddie Lacy.

" Packers- NT Timmy Jernigan? TE Jace Amaro? WR Allen Robinson? OLB Jeremiah Attaochu? TE Troy Niklas? WR Davante Adams? Trade down?" Brandon494

      TE Jace Amaro ( MM Top 100 = 32) .. I expect he'll be gone by Pick #53.

      NT Timmy Jernigan ( MM Top 100 = 35) ... ditto

      WR Allen Robinson ( MM Top 100 = 77 ) A possible 3rd Rd. pick and looking like a reach at pick Rd. 2 - Pick 53.

OLB Jeremial Attaochu ( MM Top 100 = 80) ditto ... See WR Allen Robinson immediately above.

TE Troy Nicklas ( MM Top 100 = 58 ) A logical possible candidate for the Rd. 2 Pick NO. 53.

WR Davante Adams ( MM Top 100 = 52 ) ... See TE Troy Nicklas

      Just throwing this out there?:

      How about...Scott Crichton, DE, Oregon State ( MM Top 100 = 46 ) There's about a 50/50 chance he's still on the board for pick NO. 53.

There should be a decent DE available at pick NO. 53.

or Demarcus Lawrence, LB, Boise State with a 3 in 10 chance he's there at pick NO. 53. ( MM Top 100 = 41 ) but do we need a LBer?

I hope for another value pick on the "D".

TE Jace Amaro is going to be off the board before Rd. 2 Pick 53.

WR Jordan Matthews should be available for TT's Pick #53.

Guys I don't want off of that list would be...

          Kony Ealy, DE/OLB
          Demarcus Lawrence, DE
          Cyrus Kouandjio, OT
          Carlos Hyde, RB
          Stephen Tuitt, DL
          Ra'Shede Hageman, DL
Timmy Jernigan, DL (Guess he failed a piss test)
Some are talking Borland - 5th round, not 2nd.
Don't like any of the TE's in the 2nd round

          Guys I do like at #53 -

Donte Moncrief, WR - is my #1 target, hope he's there, hope we take him.
          Kyle Van Noy, LB
          Joel Bitonio, OT
          Allen Robinson, WR
          Cody Latimer, WR
          Marquise Lee, WR

There's too much value at WR and OT to take a TE in the 2nd just based on need.

I ask, would Amaro be a 2nd round pick any year that was considered a good year for TE's?? It really is a weak TE class, but it is a strong WR and OT class. Take from those positions of strength, and if you can grab a TE later, so be it; but don't reach for one b/c of need.

              Marquise Lee, WR
There's about a 25 % chance that Kyle Van Noy is available at pick NO. 53.

Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State should be available for TT to pick at NO. 53 and ....if he wants him? The same goes for WR Donte Moncrief.

OT Joel Bitonio and likely WR Cody Latimer will be off the board by Pick NO. 53. WR Marquise Lee will be long gone.

Gotta think that aside from Marquise Lee, Allen Robinson is the best WR remaining. He should be gone by the time we pick, if there is any justice.

The expert's consensus is that Lee, Jordan Matthews, Davante Adams, and Cody Latimer are all better than Robinson. They are all similarly ranked for me. I'd be happy with any or Donte Moncrief in this round.
