  • Non-contact practices wreaking havoc

All kinds of shit happening during the 'non-contact' practices. The league is going to have to investigate. I wonder if the NFLPA is starting to think they went too far scaling things back?

As soon as Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee went down in what was supposed to be a non-contact practice today, the vibes coming out of Dallas suggested that he had suffered a bad knee injury.

Looks like Sean Lee might be out for the year.

    funniest comment from the story
Sean Lee possibly gone for the year. Rookie responsible in “non-contact drill”. League investigation to follow.

That, folks, is called a Hat Trick.

One report I read said someone drive Lee into the turf. Watch nothing happen on that front.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

        Video here. Left knee injured.

Sure doesn't look like much. Can't see how you can blame Martin, the rookie who landed on him. Looks like Lee's leg buckled and Martin only landed on top of him because it was unexpected and he couldn't stop on time.

Aren't OTAs supposed to be non-contact?

His right leg was planted to stop his momentum and seems to slip out from under him, looks like just before contact.

But his left leg buckled after contact. If its his left that is injured, I would guess it happened after contact.

Seattle lose some OTA's last year because of excessive contact in OTA's. The NFL and union will be all over this.

Usually it has to be egregious and repeated to get them to take it seriously. They have overlooked a lot before, including allowing teams to remove practice video with contact visible without any announced sanction.

An injury might be noteworthy enough to encourage something to happen, but they seem to prefer to let it slide. Someone will need to make a stink.

Walkthrough, non-contact, light contact, no pads, etc. I really don't know what they're supposed to be.

Watching the clip a few more times, Martin does get his hands on him and give him a pretty good shove backwards. I tried to watch the left leg, didn't see anything. It didn't look like it was bent the wrong way or anything, but that was a lineman landing on him, so 300lbs anyways. Anything could happen under that, lucky he didn't broken ribs and have a collapsed lung.

Seattle never has contact outside of games. Husbands can't even touch their wives other than on gameday.

if I was managing Seatle I'd certainly ban that.

I want my players strong /hungry...... "full of piss and vinegar".

The next thing we'll learn is that Seattle allows haircuts on game day.

Cowboys having some shitty luck lately. They'll probably get some kind of punishment for contact in their OTA, too, since Goodell is a known Giants fan.

                              And we are done here:

Report: Despite Sean Lee ACL, NFLPA is OK with Cowboys’ OTAs
