Does one of those teams necessarily get through? Two divisions will only send a single team to the round of 16. I would guess only on of groups C, F and H will put a second team through.

With Costa Rica playing the game they did, group D is looking real interesting.

Meanwhile, in Group H, one of three horseshit teams (Russia, Algeria or South Korea) will be advancing by default. H is for horse feathers.

Winning your qualifing group helps. And remember that 'Horsheshit' Russia beat out your 'group of death' Portugal to qualify directly.

The beating Portugal got tonight might be good news for the US. Those mercurial southern Europe teams may implode if things don't go their way and seeing the damage they suffered, I don't know if they can keep their cool in the next match. Ghana & the US might have smelled blood.

You're mistaking them with N-Korea that qualified the last WC and played with 11 players in front of the goal. S-Korea is known for fast-paced attacking play, although they lack the quality they had 8 years ago when they played at home.

North Korea was indeed epic-ly bad. I can't remember if they even scored a goal during the tournament. There was also the Mike Tice-like mess in which they likely sold their ticket allotment (to the Chinese).
