If only our best athletes played soccer instead of basketball and football but that will never happen in the USA.

Which current Packer players do you guys think would make good soccer players? I could see Randall Cobb being a nice soccer player and Charles Woodson could have made a nice goalie.

Don't like the way this second half is starting. Looks like the US is trying to put up a defensive shell and ride out a 1 goal lead? Also, they've used two substitutions already, and announcers just commented Ghana has the youngest team in the tournament. That could go badly towards the end of the second half.

cobb i can definitely see being a good soccer player

driver probably would have been good

maybe they need to start talking about how much these guys make,maybe that would convince some of the young kids to go into soccer. and i don't think its just about getting the best athletes, you gotta develop that talent from a young age. ymca, high school, and college soccer is nice and all, but it doesn't compare to the youth academies that the rest of the world uses

yup, can't just sit on a 1 goal lead. ghana is very dangerous

Yup thats the main problem but I can't really complain because I love Football too much.

don't need fancy soccer fields to play the game. think the kids in africa and south america have fancy fields to play on?
