Exactly, Ronaldo just made an incredible pass.

That was a great play....we can talk all day about Beasley should have done this, and those guys should have done that....but it comes down to the Portuguese made a better play at the end.

Agreed that Howard wasn't bad but his spectacular save wouldn't have been necessary if he hadn't screwed up the first shot that hit the post.

Croatia with good pressure early, and Mexico looking expectedly incompetent on offense, but they come alive at the 16' mark with a couple of very good opportunities - one crossbar and a forward who got through but lost his footing and couldn't get the shot away.

And there's the first dive of the game, Mexican player rolling around on his back holding his calf after what was little more than incidental contract from the Croatian player. He looks at the referee, sees he's not interested, immediately rolls over onto his hands and knees and gets up.

He also misplayed a ball that hit the post and it looked like he pulled up to let it go over the goal line. Was before the Immaculate Redirection.

Blaming only Bradley or Cameron for the game is too simple, but so is the counter story that Bradley got himself straightened out. He was better than versus Ghana, but he was still a turnover machine.

Well, my hope now is that the US loses by a big enough margin that they're booted...
