When you look at the cuts so far, the Packers are left with some pretty so-so players at end of roster. I suppose that is typical. I guess I was wrong to think that roster spots are so valuable this year. Enough guys have been lost for whole season to open things up.

And I heard the same thing on Thornton, most likely using it as an excuse to give him a year. That's not offical or anything, just what I read on the jsonline chat.
