Oh, I think they know of what they speak. We are talking about guys in their mid-20s, many who come from the south or California and shudder at the thought of northern Wisconsin winters. And then there are quality of life issues: there are plenty of reasons why an urban black kid, for example, would cringe at the idea of spending half the year in small town Wisconsin where you can count the number of non-whites on one hand (yes, I am exaggerating, but the image of white bread GB is powerful and persistent).
