I think we forget he didn't play or practice much in TC. Maybe he'll play better next week against NY.

I do agree, only having 4 D-linemen active was dumb.

Didn't forget it, that was part of the problem. They said he came to one of the off season camps well overweight and in bad condition, then trying to make up for it before training camp, he hurt himself. The fact he wasn't able to practice in TC is not an excuse, it is a root of the problem, and he is at fault for it.

I wonder if we would have kept Guion on the 53 had Raji not got hurt.

Good Question. I also wonder what Sherrod's roster fate might have been if Barclay hadn't been injured. I tend to think they would have kept Sherrod, but at whose expense? Goodsen, I suspect.

Bishop didn't make it to the first game. Arizona released him yesterday:

I wonder if this was just to eliminate the guarantee of his salary, and they will sign him again after game #1 ?

I think they went 4 active DL because they played a 4-3/nickel that had OLBs Peppers and Neal move up to the DE spots.

Could well be a salary move. The Cards desperately need backers.

I really liked Bishop. He's a lunch pail player, tough, hard working, a real banger. Too bad he's all hit out, he deserved more pay days than it's looks like he's gonna get.

Still better than any D lineman on the packer roster, including a healthy Raji.

I think we need to give Brad Jones the benefit of the doubt, it does sound like he played injured last week.

Still, how did that happen? There was a healthy, decent player sitting on the bench.

If Jones was hurting out there why did he play so much? Pretty damn stupid if you ask me.

Jones sucks donkey balls when he's at 110%, so if he was out there injured that proves even more how inept this coaching staff is.

Desmond Bishop need a season ending injury to Nick Barnett before he got a chance to start. Not that I would wish for Jones to get hurt or anything...

Looking more and more like Pennel will be active and taking snaps v the Jets.

Linebacker Brad Jones (thigh) did not practice and probably won't play against the Jets. Defensive coordinator Dom Capers said that Jamari Lattimore was likely to fill in for Jones.
This happened last year, and Lattimore had a mix of good and bad plays. Hope he takes advantage of the opportunity.

Lattimore could go out there and literally take a dump on the 50 yard line and I would call that a better game than Jones.
