So the lead in most of the first half was just an illusion?Originally posted by Maxie the Taxi View PostNot buying it. Stubby didn't have his team ready to play and he wasn't ready.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Yeah, especially with the personnel that they had in.Originally posted by channtheman View PostI thought going for it was a good call. I thought running it was unbelievably stupid. But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Yes. I think it was a mirage. Our O was struggling and the Saints O was just getting ready for the knockout punch. Never felt we could sustain or keep up with the Saints the way we were playing.Originally posted by pbmax View PostSo the lead in most of the first half was just an illusion?

No. They should have been ahead by even more. An onside kick? Peppers in the backfield? Giving Brees all day to throw? Game plan was for shit.Originally posted by pbmax View PostSo the lead in most of the first half was just an illusion? One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Ya, I guess those red zone struggles had nothing to do with itOriginally posted by Teamcheez1 View PostYes. I think it was a mirage. Our O was struggling and the Saints O was just getting ready for the knockout punch. Never felt we could sustain or keep up with the Saints the way we were playing.

Packers came thinking they were going to win. I watched as a fan thinking that too. Didn't play out that way. Yes....there were mistakes and blunders. But that's what happens in a game like this. The Saints caused this loss.....not the Packers. Like I said....an absolute perfect game by the Packers is all that could have given them a chance.Originally posted by Maxie the Taxi View PostWhy play then? Why be a fan? Nope. They could have won if they had played smarter.
