  • More Banjo: vs. Bears Week 10

Julius Peppers in the middle of a Charles Woodson-lite transformation in my own head, changing my mind completely about a player. He spoke to the team as a Captain for last night's game:

[Quarless tells story of Peppers take on rivalry] And on this side of it, Peppers apparently inspired his teammates beforehand. Not that he was ready to get into the details.

“I don’t even remember," Peppers said. "Even if I did, it’s not something that I would want to share. Basically, just go out and play hard."
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Bob is with me that Matthews wasn't in a new defensive spot, but they played the defense where he is in the middle more:

"We've done some of that before," said Thompson, referring to use of Matthews inside in a three-down lineman package on passing downs. "This was a little bit more concentrated. Just trying to get him in different spots."
He says 3 man line, but I *think* that might be three DL and Peppers at DE, even with hand in dirt.

Eddie Lacy has 100+ total yds and/or TD in 5 of last 6 games. 3+ receptions in 4 straight. And one of the best stretch-run skeds among RBs.

(And he's like having a fullback in there on passing downs)

Perry, one of the team's better run defenders, helped solidify one edge of the Packers' defense and Peppers, an end in a 4-3 defense when he played for the Bears, played with his hand in the ground on early downs and anchored the left side.
So that is 3 DL with all important hands in dirt plus Perry on the LOS.

He de-cleated Willie Young on a chip block with Bulaga.

Ya, saw that. You know things are going well when your HB nearly put a DE on his but chipping out of the backfield.

Good news for the #Packers is they get the ball to start the second half.

The Bears are getting absolutely destroyed in the media down here. I've probably heard the Collingsworth "Aaron Rodgers is just laughing at them" audio clip probably 20+ times on the radio this morning.

                  It's fantastic

The Iron Sheik was a pro wrestler from the AWA days when Hulk Hogan was just getting his start. His finishing move was the camel clutch.

Yeah, I knew the Iron Sheik was a wrestler and guessed the Clutch was a wrasslin' move, but wouldn't the joke be better if he Camel Clutched Cutler?

Also unsure if this is a parody account (likely) or the real guy. Somehow this puts it in the uncanny valley for me.

I personally would "load up the boots" for Cutler. 4:45 mark
